Hi all I am wondering if JP HI FI would do laybys for a laptop worth $1600 dollars which is a lot of money so I want to know if I can layby it only thing is it is on sale they might not do laybys on sale items? I dont know can someone let me know please! its the 15% off sale.
Why would you want to layby a depreciating laptop? By the time you pay it off and obtain possession it would be worth less.
Why don't you save up to pay for it outright and then look out of a good deal or even ask jb to match or better then their previous sale price (jb are usually pretty good at matching prices).

They may do deposits, they may offer line of credit/finance products (ie flexitent). They do not offer layby.
Buy a cheaper laptop. A JB $1,600 laptop is probably worth under $1,000 in the real world.
Never understood the point of layby. Dont you essentially pay more due to the account fees and all that?
Same thing with renting phones/computers/TV etc, why finance something you can't afford and is a depreciating item?
Never ever heard of JB doing laybys like bigw Kmart target etc.

Have you checked Dell itself (I dont see anywhere that jb does layby, maybe best to go instore and just ask)
go and buy a Dell Refurb, I bought one about a year ago, looked brand new, has new warranty
They have the model you want for $929 deleived (takes about 3 days to deliver, I bought Fri afternoon was on my door 8am Tuesday)
I would not hesitate in buying another refurb from them.

I don't know myself if they'll allow laybys on sale items. But I can't see why not.
I'd just call them up and find out… if they tell you that you can and you do plan on doing layby, I'd try going into the store to negotiate the best price before mentioning the words "layby".
The salesman may not give you the best deal if they know you're doing a layby.
