that's because they moved the great factories from Australia and placed all the machines in a crap town in China so their costs would be incredibly low.
and what did they do now it costs bugger all to make the products? also made them poor quality and kept the prices the same or slightly higher

many other top brands made in Asian countries, if they pay enough, they get the quality to match! are these crap country??!!
Apple products made in China last time I checked, although they pay extremely low and the factory squeezing blood and sweat of the workers, they still paid enough for the products.
I haven't heard anyone standing up for the poor workers yet, although they over priced product to AppleI can't stress enough, many quickly point their finger at bad manufacturer in China. Regardless of which part of the world, the manufacturing is done; one golden rule almost apply - you get what you paid for. Bonds wanted to squeeze the cost, they picked the manufacturer that cost them the least. You get cheap Bonds.
Other brands still wanted to maintain the cost vs quality balance - willing to fork out a little more than the bottom pricing. Gets a little better quality. Apple does use one of the better products manufacturer in China and quality fairly reasonable. If they really wanted to squeeze the cost, they can always go for the sh1tiest manufacturer.
The question about human rights, ah well, just follow the culture….

I used to only buy Bonds, until they shipped all the jobs off and the quality diminished.
stretching, seams coming apart, holes etc.. etc..Unsure if OP's username is legit or just ironic…
50% off bonds at woolies atm
I went nuts at coles when they had 50% off and bought about 15 pairs of socks. Bonds socks are very poor quality now. Pairs that I have worn 3 or 4 times are wearing through the toe already. 0/10 would not buy again.
