I had two of the 32GB in this range fail on me within a week. That was a couple of years ago so I hope they've improved manufacturing/quality control since then.

    • My 32 and 16GB ones from this range have been working well for the past few years. I probably got it off a deal from here!

    • I had a 32GB and 16GB recently fail on me..so doesnt seem so.

  • 256 3.0 for $73… beam me up, mofo

  • Read/Write benchmark: 173MB/s seq read, 68MB/s seq write.

Good for the price but speeds are nothing special.

I got the same but in 64GB. They are painfully slow…..

    • How slow? What kind of files were you storing?

      • All kind of files, docs, executables, movies, etc.

        • What speeds did you get?

        • @eug:

Honestly I did not measure the speed but I have several USBs here at home and I can tell the difference when I need to use that Flash Drive because it is the bigger capacity I have.

  • Securely protects files using Encrypt Stick Lite software, an advanced security solution with 256-bit AES encryption

How good is this type of encryption? Im deciding between one of these cheapie usb sticks with encryption or an iPhone 6 128gb. The iPhone costs around 18 times more, but at least the data is safe in case it gets lost or stolen.

    • Haven't tried the software, but that's a pretty expensive way to cart data around. It'll certainly be more attractive to thieves too, and it's also a lot more fragile.

Won't you also have to stick with MTP access?

I thought it was a bottle of vodka when I looked at the thumbnail.

  • Have the 128GB version which has been working fine for the last year or so but definitely not the fastest drive.

Just did a quick test and approx speeds are:
    Write: 60mb/s
    Read: 110mb/s
