Where to buy Screws for HP Microserver Hard Drive

Hello Friends !

Update: Davo1111 has helped my remove the the stuck drive. Anyone know where to get screws to secure hard drives into the bracket? i believe they are 6-32 sized.

Like make of you, I bought this little Microserver (N40L) from OzBargain sales many years ago.

I've had the hard drive randomly disconnect while using it, so I opened up the door and blew out the dust from the HDD (as you do when a Game Boy cartridge stop working). It worked initially but has since stopped working again. Now when try and pull out the HDD it comes out 1cm, and is physically stuck.

Has anyone got a solution for me ?

PS. I was lazy and didn't screw the HDD into the Quick Mount Brackets. Though I haven't had a problem with any of the other drives, I might be the cause here.

      Oops I forgot the most important part. It's a N40L.
      I believe it's a gen7

    Take out the other drives, then see if you can jiggle it/get more grip.

    Once you get them out, mount them properly.

      HAHA that's a really good suggestion. I actually didn't think of that because I did it while the server was still on. Didn't want to remove the drive while they were mounted

          YAY ! By removing the 1st and 3rd hard drives. The second hard drive came out easily. Do you know where I can get screws to mount the hard drive into the bracket securely ?

          @lakers1222: Looks like 6-32 is the type you need. Not 100% sure though

          Found some cheap ones from eBay. I ordered them from HK, because I don't need them soon.

          Swapping harddrives around revealed one of them had died. Ohh gosh.

    My N54L has screws for the hard drive in the door. I don't know if the N40L is the same.
