Tut tut, Coles Rundle Mall had normal prices for Dr. Oetker at around 6:30 on Tuesday rather than the advertised 50% off price.
Previously I "caught" the same store selling Telstra $30 Pre-paid Starter Kits for full price on Wednesday when they were meant to be 50%. They went through the catalogue and sold it to me for the advertised 50% off price.
But still, not acceptable if you're going to advertise prices in certain periods right.

I use to work at a smaller Coles and because of staffing the tickets might be changed a day early. I was a manager in the diary section and i never let them change my tickets early but it depends on the department and the store manager.

As long as you got the special price at the checkout… does it really matter?
As per comments above, they may remove the special tickets the night before the end date so that the early starters do not need to run around the store and do so at 6am before they open the doors. As you are probably aware, if an item scans higher than the ticketed price, it is for free. So they'd be sure to want to avoid this scenario.
The actual special price on the system is automated via their IT systems and will not end early unless forced from head office due to insuff stock, recalls etc etc.

Seems like a non issue to me. It's not like anything is scanning higher than the shelf price.

Did it scan through as full price? Some stores remove/put up specials the night before the (new) sale begins for the next day.
