Prize Details
The Prize is one residential AGL solar PV (photovoltaic) system installation for your home in Victoria and AGL Solar Command monitoring subscription for 24 months from time of installation (Prize). Further details of and exclusions under the Prize include:

The total prize value is maximum value up to $7,399 (AUD inc GST), based on 5kW system.

The Prize includes an AGL Solar Command subscription of 24 months. This includes the installation of AGL Solar Command, and 24 months access to real time monitoring, automatic fault alerts and access to an online portal. Prize is subject to AGL’s standard terms and conditions.

Maximum solar PV system size of up to 5kW.

The Prize is for a new installation, not an upgrade to an existing solar system.

Any grid connection fee issued to and payable by the winner by their distributor will need to be paid by the winner. However AGL will reimburse the winner’s reasonable costs upon valid proof in writing of expenditure.

Winner will be responsible for installing and maintaining at winner’s cost a fixed broadband internet connection and WiFi network connection at the premises.

Winner will be responsible at its cost for any switchboard or meter upgrades that may be required to take the Prize.

The solar installation must occur at premises in an AGL solar serviceable area. Serviceable areas are dictated by AGL and must be assessed prior to the Prize being awarded. To check whether their home is within an AGL solar serviceable area, the winner may contact AGL on 1300 377 118.

AGL will cover the costs for an installer traveling to the premises within an AGL solar serviceable area and installing the AGL solar PV system panels at the premises (including for a double storey home and split system installation), to the maximum of 3 hours travel at $77 per hour, maximum double story cost of $220 and one split system installation at $220, all costs include GST. Any additional costs will be the responsibility of the winner (but AGL will provide prior estimate of any additional costs to the winner before those costs are incurred).

Redemption of the Prize is strictly conditional upon the following terms:

The winner must be the owner of the home on which the solar system is installed.

Various factors including (but not limited to) roof type, material, structure, size, pitch, orientation, shading and obstructions must be deemed suitable by AGL for the installation of a solar system. These will need to be determined by AGL prior to issuing the prize.

If deemed not suitable by AGL acting reasonably, the winner may nominate a family or friend in Victoria to receive the installation (subject to these same terms and conditions for their home).
The system size installed will be determined at AGL’s sole discretion, but acting reasonably, based on the size of the roof but will be no larger than 5kW. AGL makes no representations or warranties about the structural integrity of the winner’s roof and the winner must make their own enquiries regarding its capacity to hold a solar installation.

The winner agrees that to accept and redeem the Prize, they must sign and agree to the AGL solar contract and terms and conditions relating to an AGL solar installation reasonably requested by AGL.
