Seems like a pretty good price for those that would only use a cordless drill on the odd occasion. At this price, seems like a no-brainer frankly.

Why is that?
so you would you use a $39 drill if you were a tradie? If so, back up the hilux at Masters and go for it buddy
I was just clarifying
Im not a tradie, but use my drill more than on the off occasion.
Have a great day
I dunno, i tried the Kmart version of this one on the weekend and it seemed pretty janky. It looked exactly the same, except rebranded.
I'd spend a little extra and buy the hitachi for $60 that pops up on the masters website every second week
perhaps but it's 12v and not Li-ion

dunno why you were negged but valid points IMO
Have had one of these for 2 years now, still going strong. Has heaps of guts and a smooth clutch. Recommended, especially at this price point.
I've been using this drill for over a year. Still working fine and done me well for my home use
This seems to be the correct product link:

If so, it's maximum speed is only 550 rpm
Which is horrendously slow for a normal hand drill.
I've found that most of the cheapy single-speed drills have this stupidly low gearing. I assume it's so that they can have decent on-paper torque values or something?
A while ago I bought a cheapo Ozito kit with Drill and Impact Driver. The drill runs at about 1/5 the speed for the driver. Which is completely arse-about from the way it should be. Would be far better if I somehow swapped the motors in them.
any warranty issues if Masters do close down for good ?
otherwise looks quite good value
