Where do you get dry ice?
Supagas? Do they sell small portions?
Last time I tried to buy dry ice (not from Supagas) I had to buy 5 kg minimum.

Thanks OP. These will be good for hurling at BDS numpties.

  • We should draft a Dicklaimer for these types of purchases: "Credit card and address provided may not be complete or accurate. Funds may not be available at time of purchase and may never have been available. Upon receipt of a working product the purchases or perhaps someone else entirely guarantees that you will be provided with a means of payment."

That seems according to principles of equity in law, doesn't it?

I've got one 40L, one 60L and one 100L. Has anyone worked out what to do with the non-60L sizes now Sodastream doesn't do refills themself?

Besides buying your own gas-kit and extending a middle finger toward sodastream.
    http://kegking.com.au/co2-cylinders/freedomone-sodastream-ad…
seems to be the best solution I've found, but then there's nothing to be done with the old tanks …

    • I had a couple of 40L ones, last time I swapped them over at Harvey Norman, they swapped them for a 60L ones.

    • Anywhere will swap the 40l for the now standard 60l.
Not seen a 100l cylinder before.

    Disclaimer…
Supagas sells pellets about $6 a kilo.
    Use safety at all times..
    Check Youtube for further info/feed

    • Is this dry Ice "food grade". I think it is used in road building or something like that, not certain it is safe for consumption.

      • you can use dry ice in your esky,it's used in stage effects.i am asking everyone to use it.end of story

    • What is the minimum amount they sell?

Consider the fact that instantly dry ice exposed to the atmosphere it will get an increasing COATING OF WATER ICE which will enter the cylinder with the granules.

Unless sodastream is totally crazy the CO2 they will refill the bottles with will be dry.

The home refill will now have water vapour in the gas going through the bottle filling valve. This gas stream is expanding rapidly and this cools it rapidly and one would expect to get some solid ice build up. I wonder if tjis may be the reason for the failure of the pressure safety valve mentiontioned in another video in the "sodastream" group.

Hope you find this of inerest :)

    • Thats a very good point. Thanks.
