Hi all looking for an ultrabook or small notebook for uni. Will mainly be used for word processing, surfing net, watching videos and light gaming.
Criteria:
1.2k budget
Touch screen is ideal
Can play light games such as counter strike global offensive
Long battery life at least 5 hrs on heavy usage
A few on my short list are the XPS 13, macbook air and Sony vaio.
Would like to hear your experiences regarding build quality, keyboard typing feel, battery life etc.
I go with XPS 13.

I got a great deal through the US Microsoft store for mine. You might be able to use Auspost Shopmate or Velocity Rewards have some HP discounts.
I got Samsung Ativ Book 9 series laptop for almost 3 years now and once it stops booting i will get another one.
There are many variants, but generally it's thin, light, beautifully made metal body, touch screen etc.
Hp spectre is about $2000 isnt it? It is over op's budget?
Have owned an XPS 13 and Macbook air, but my current machine is now a HP Spectre x360. I didn't think I'd buy anything from HP but this laptop is pretty damn good when you can get it on sale for 1.2k.
