What do replacement heads cost? I feel like that is how they get you: the handle is relatively cheap or keeps getting "discounted" to entice you to buy one and then you end up paying a fortune for replacement brushes over the life of the device.
Depends on the heads. I paid $100 for a Braun one over 4 years ago and it's still going strong. The heads are just the basic Oral-B ones - not these FlossAction ones. When I last stocked up they were around $15 for a 3 pack, and depending on how often you brush, each head should last between 2-6 months I'd say.
Can buy Coles brand heads, 2 for $10. Can't comment on quality though
I got this at xmas for this price then got a couple dozen packs of heads from costco on special for about $20-30 also.

This is normal price at Shavershop…. They also have 4+2 heads for $23.
I wouldn't buy from Shavershop, I bought my Oral-B electric toothbrush two years ago, and it died weeks after that. It was a fake toothbrush, how do I know? I looked at the base and it was made in China, my previous Oral-B lasted well over 7 years and it was made in Germany. I tried contacting them via their customer support email, but they've ignored me completely, I contacted ACCC, and they told I may have a case, but I need to get in contact with Fair Trading…for a $40 item? no thanks, I'll just never shop there again.
Geez is that how much the basic model cost full price now? That's like double that of only a few years ago.
