I was looking at creating a coverpage website with Squarespace and having my own domain link to it. It has a cost of $5 per month. A larger website would cost $10 per month.
Just now I was looking at the $9.95 per month for Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, and that package includes Adobe Portfolio, which judging by the screen shots, looks remarkably similar to Squarespace.
My question is, could I accomplish the web page with Adobe Portfolio, making the Squarespace unnecessary? If not, what are the compromises?
Thanks,
Kevin
The compromise is Adobe's offering has a more limited selection of templates and can't really grow beyond a coverpage/portfolio website. It's perfect if that's all you need at this stage and also want PS+LR, but you can't really go wrong with either service.
It's a bit like prepaid mobile phone services. Cheap and quick to set-up, and if you don't like the service you can simply try someone else.
Take a look at some of the tutorials on the web to better judge if the product will work for you, like this Adobe Portfolio walkthrough.
