Looking to purchase a tablet for Skype usage, emails, etc.
It's for someone else, as a gift.
Looking at the eBay options, most $100 tablets have poor front camera.
Any recommendations?

you could consider the Samsung Galaxy Tab E series

front facing 2 megapixel camera however.
Officeworks and JB Hifi sells the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 for a little less than $300. This tablet is much, much better than the Samsung and has a 5 mpx front facing camera with a full HD display, and 2GB of RAM.
The Selfie cam takes OK quality images
This is literally the cheapest 10" tablet that you can buy in a brick / mortar shop that has the above specs.

It's just that they're out of the budget, being a gift for someone's first tablet.

I see some of the tablets are 2mp front cam so should be fine for skype.does it have to be 10inch? 8 inch wont do?

Ended up ordering the 'Teclast X98 Air III Intel Z3735F 1.83GHz 9.7 Inch Android 5.0 Tablet'
Cost is $199, less coupon; net cost $162, which was spot on the budget.
