Found this while doing some constructive shopping ;)
Some stores have the normal price $12 label on shelves but when you scan at checkout it is definitely $3.

Browns Plains (QLD) still had 1 xmas tree and 6 reindeer ones yesterday.

  I heard that Pyrex changed to cheaper production methods and they are significantly less strong now.

    Depends on how it is labelled, PYREX (all caps) is the older borosilicate glass while pyrex (all lowercase) is the new cheaper soda-lime glass.

    Borosilicate is less likely to break due to rapid temperature change while soda-lime is less likely to break when dropped.

      What if it's "pyrex" on the box, but "PYREX" on the lid of the product?
