Sending Luggage Overseas

Hi all,

I'm sorry to say that I will be leaving Australia and moving to Canada in the next couple of weeks. I will still visit OzBargain everyday because let's face it, it's habit now.

Has anyone sent luggage overseas? I'll be travelling for a bit before going to Canada, so I'd like to send some pieces of luggage directly to Canada and not take it with me travelling.

Can anyone recommend a company, tips and tricks, any advice?

    but I just did a quote for a suitcase from here to Vancouver as an example and it seems expensive. From London to here via sea it was cheap, but they do have a lot of competition there.

    I think it's worth contacting the cargo division of one of the airlines.

    Thanks for the suggestions. Some early research shows that contacting the airlines is generally more expensive. Has anyone used them? Surely safer…

      If you're sending under 20kg it might be more economical to send it via seamail through Australia Post?
