The SA-36A Pro is a great quality class D amp that we've just recently started stocking. It's not hugely powerful so would ideally suit driving efficient speakers (90dB/w or above). When combined with our Voll B44s (which are only 85dB/w) it sounds great for desktop listening or listening in a bedroom at decent volumes but we do recommend a larger amp for other applications.

This deal is based on requests we've had for a package under the $200 price point - many people use Lepai amps with our speakers which while quite similar in power to the SA-36A Pro they have bad build quality and bad components (especially capacitors). For just a little bit more than the Lepai the SA-36A Pro is a better option in my opinion.

        Oh, I picked up some second hand boston acoustics one which was from a 5.1 set off some forums :) I'm sure there are better ones around but this does the job for me!

        But just noting I have a different amp, I believe this one doesn't allow for sub input (rep can correct me if I'm wrong)?

    Just a question - which of the amps packaged on your site would be suitable to run a 1970's record player through?

      None of our amplifiers have integrated preamps for turntables (pretty much no amplifiers these days have this). Your options are:

      -Find a decent quality second hand amp like the NAD 3020
      -Get a preamp and use any amplifier that has RCA/3.5mm input (all of our amplifiers do except for the VX2)

    I have the B44's with the Lepai amp and they are perfect for my home office. Although I have replaced the cheap crappy capacitors and have an appropriately sized power supply (Lepai's usually only come with 2 amp power supplys).

    Voll also have great customer support and I'd gladly deal with them again.
