  • Worth it just for this… http://www.smartdestinations.com/las-vegas-attractions-and-t…

But seriously lots of stuff is free over there, Unless you're there for a week or more just spend a few days walking up and down the strip watching the free shows/soaking up the atmosphere. These "attractions" seem pretty generic and I'm unsure if you'd really use them…

    • Agree Stirlo. The hop on hop off bus is a handy thing, but only to get you to the other end of the strip. I think they have a bus that does that all day anyway ($4/trip when were were there) It is pretty hard to explain Vegas, it is an assault on the senses that is for sure. I personally dont see value in the ticket, because like Stirlo says there is so much to see and do for free…

No, the passes aren't restricted to US residents, anyone can buy them. I haven't used the Las Vegas one, but we bought a Go San Diego pass (which also allowed us to select attractions in LA) for our trip to the US in February/March last year. We used the "Build Your Own Pass" option - you don't save as much as with the other passes, but it gave us a lot more flexibility, we had 30 days to use it instead of being restricted to to a shorter period of consecutive days offered with the other San Diego passes, and we were able to select just the attractions we knew we wanted to visit (USS Midway, San Diego Zoo, LA Zoo and the La Brea Tarpits in LA). We saved 26% on admission costs (and yes, I had checked the normal admission prices on each attraction's website and they were the same as those listed on the Smart Destination website). The pass worked really well, we had no problems at all and I'd be happy to use them again. Obviously you need to do your research as to whether the pass will work for you and what savings you will achieve to see whether it's worthwhile buying.

    • Thanks, thinking to get the san diego pass too

  • I used the Hawaii version of this card, no complaints.

Looking a that list of attractions and I don't really see too much I'd go for. As others have mentioned, the bulk of the vegas spectacle is free. Do the casinos, browse the casino shopping areas (its like a gallery), head to Fremont st. I wouldn't really waste too much time at the outlets, I've done them many times and they're pretty much like your stock take sale here, especially with the dollar as it is. Maybe if you want to buy specific brands its apparently good value (like branded kids clothes).
Also, put Vegas near the end of your trip and pick a nice resort (use hotwire/priceline and do the blind reservations), half the fun for me was getting to spend a few days to unwind at the pool.

Vegas really lets you make your own fun. I enjoy a bit of low stokes black jack so one of my best nights was spent at the Cosmopolitan, free drinks and letting my $100 seed money last about 3 hours (just go slowly). Easily got my moneys worth in drinks (order either 2 at a time (i.e. whiskey and beer chaser) or order the next as they deliver your drink) and the company was great fun (pick your table wisely). Helps that the dealers at a lot of these places are pretty much in lingerie.
