Just in case no one has noticed, I have moved OzBargain onto a new server this morning (at 12:30am when I'm half asleep). This site was hosted on a server in Sydney, and now it is hosted on a server in Melbourne! Hopefully all you Victorians will find the site a few milliseconds faster :)

Yeah it is weird that this Melbourne provider sells me cheap bandwidth. Consider the hosting situation in Sydney vs. Melbourne I would have thought Sydney would be cheaper. It is now 45ms from my home ADSL connection (as oppose to 20ms when it was hosted in Global Switch, Sydney).
Another interesting statistics for you guys. Over the last 30 days, the visitor distributions are:
City Percentage Sydney 39.9% Melbourne 25.4% Brisbane 13.0% Perth 8.6% Adelaide 4.5% Canberra 2.7% Consider Sydney only has 10% more population than Melbourne (according to Wikipedia), but has 50+% more visitors to OzBargain. I can only conclude that Sydney has a higher "cheapo-density" than Melbourne :)
