Just placed a pickup order after one of the backlights in my BenQ died. Hoping it lives up to the hype though apparently the stand is a little flimsy and no VESA mount but 4ms response time and IPS!

Be aware,. This monitor has no height adjust stand or vesa mount and the stand is quiet flimsy. Purchased one a couple of months back but returned because it didn't sit flat on the table and wobbled all the time. Other than that from what I read it got good reviews.
Maybe should hang or fix it to the wall :)

thanksIPS with a nice response time. Not much else you could get that price. Slim bezel on the sides and top, and 25" too. You can't go wrong for browsing the web with it.

It was originally $209 became $179 for about 2 or 3 days and then boom what do you know it's back to $209. Good thing I instantly ordered one myself. Was stuck between this and the Samsung s24d590PL both of which are great monitors but I was sold on the Acer's $179 price tag.
Got this for the Study. Size is nice, feels a lot bigger than 24" for whatever reason. The complaints about the stand are odd to me, if you don't move it around or need height adjustments, I don't see how the stand is a problem.
We've had a few of our monitors replaced at work with these models, the stand really is very flimsy, other than that they're fine. If your desk is pretty solid, it's not such a problem, but if your desk is a bit shaky then it can be quite disconcerting when you bump it, they wobble quite a bit then.
Good point. The table I have is quite heavy, so I didn't have that issue.
I just set mine up. The stands not that bad but if you had it on a lighter table, it may shake around alot but a non-issue for me. That said, the picture is great and it's super-bright.
So triples can cost a fraction of what VR does…

I pretty sure it is coated with the same matte finish as the g257hl but I wouldn't recommend 1080p at 27 inches because the pixel density count wouldn't be too high. Also multiple reports of dead pixels and flickering horizontal lines and general dodge on newegg review.
