Thanks for whipping up a good deal

Bought one, thanks OP. Reviews are mixed so will see how it turns out.

  • What, I paid $29.99 last week !!!

  • +2

you get what you pay, don't expect much from this mixer. I got one around a week ago, tried chopping onion and was not happy with the result. Not sure if I can return it but purchased Kambrook KSB100FRD 4 Blade stick mixer today from the good guys eBay store today at around $55.96.

    • Do other stick mixers do that?

Can't say I've tried as I usually pull out the food processor or blender for that.

      • Yes, had been using Kambrook Power Drive Stick Mixer - KSB8 with no issues for over 2 years until last week.

      • You really need to go with quality with stick mixers , i did a lot of research before and found myself the breville control grip to be the best
        - bit pricey but definitely worth it - cuts through ice makes the best shakes - so easy to clean u just need to wash it without scrub

  • Funny thing Is that I went to TGG today to pickup Chromecast for the deal, so on the way I picked one of these for my friend's house warming gift. Before I got out of shower my partner was already making coconut chutney(blame MKR) with it.

Thank you OP really appreciate this.

Please can I come to your house for dinner? :)

    • Saying partner makes it sound like your talking about a business relationship.

Thanks OP. I was watching it for the past 2 weeks and the eBay store wasn't allowing C&C. Looks like it's back up and running now :)

I now have the blender, kettle, toaster and stick mixer in this range. Such LED, very disco.

The price is good, however the quality is not the best as mentioned above. We tried chopping dates the other day, and it just flung them around the container and didn't really chop them much.

This is a wonder with dates:

Note: The shipping time and communication from Your Home Depot is shit compared to TGG. I recommend C&C when buying from here in Melbourne or Sydney.

just flung them around the container and didn't really chop them much

So like it's spinning way to fast to have any utility you mean.

No like involved when it uses five times as much electric power than required to drive the silly overpowered electric motor that's making it not work properly of course :D

Back in the ancient times they used 50W motors in these things, can't think why. Maybe they wanted a device that worked, the ancients were a perplexing people. If only we could go back to 1999 and ask them about all the knowledge we lost!

(I smoked a bowl before but I'm tryna say it's stupidly overpowered).

    • most blenders can't even handle dates if you dont soak them first, i ruined a 650W blender trying to chop dates.

      • I thought you were supposed to use a food processor for dates

        • haha yes well i didn't know this. needless to say, my mother was not impressed when i ruined hers

Cashrewards just keep accumulating.. and remain pending.. still waiting the cr from december..

    • I m also waiting my cash back from cashreward from november 15 purchase, I purchased laptop from Dell.

      • I stopped using cashrewards and tried shop n mint this time. . Let's see which one is better..

  • +1

I wouldn't recommend this, i bought it for $30 with the previous deal and the quality is poor

    • How so?

      • Very bad build quality. Bought during last week's deal and will be returning it this weekend

        • I am really surprised considering it claims to have titanium-coated blades and a 700 watt motor.
I certainly don't expect Breville quality at $24, but might have thought it was a cheap upgrade for our current ageing stick blender? Russell Hobbs is no "Tiffany".

      • +1

Well for starters the metal stick attachment has cheap rubber and plastic underneath defeating the purpose of being metal, with a tiny blade attached by a nut, I havnt used the other attachments but they look and feel cheap, the power is ok but compared to the kenwood it was going to replace it's totally inferior

Basically it's worth what your paying for, which is fine! But no way it was was ever worth the RRP

    • +1

I bought it and had no issues making hummus with it, it's got plenty of power and the build quality doesn't seem too bad.

It does vibrate quite a bit but if you hold it firmly it gets the job done.

      • This is exactly what I bought it for! Gonna see how it turns out tomorrow once I pick up some ingredients.

  • That's funny. I went to buy one of these when they were $29, the site said it was In Stock.

Went down to the shop and apparently all of Sydney was out of stock. I put down a deposit and was told a week or two maybe & I'll get a call.

Yesterday I looked at TGG site again, and it said In Stock - again. I phoned them asking if I could pick it up. They said it's still out in stock and they'll call.

So! Either they are just selling the stock online via eBay and the web (and do actually have some somewhere) or trying to get more sales by pretending they have it & a lot of people will be miffed to buy and have to wait.

So, those in Sydney just be aware.

    • purchased and picked up at campbelltown this morning, you are probably spooked!

      • Aggh looks like it! :( liars! I should have waited.

  • Thank you I just bought one click and collect from Brighton Vic and got it for the $23 price. Very happy.

  • Purchased last night at 7pm and ready for collection at 9am today. Very impressive.

  • Bought the second one to gift to someone last night at 9pm

Was on my job heading to see a client and dropped in TGG to pickup

Good lads gave it to me even I didn't get pickup confirmation.

  • From these deals ive managed to get a blender and a stick mixer for under 50 dollars. Cant be disappointed with that!

  • +1

And to add to the quality part

Quality isnt great, very plasticy and base is like plastic and when on full power it skids.

    But can't complain for $22

  • Was looking for a basic stick blender so this will be fine, thanks OP

  • Just purchased and picked up earlier this evening, used eBay and got it for $23.96. Upon some testing and inspection, it looks very decent. A little skeptical about the long term condition of this blender but for now it'll have to do. Thanks OP for the post!
