The Division PC Gold Edition 159.99 BRL (~ $57.26 AUD) Via Brazillian Uplay Store (Requires VPN)

400

I personally used this method to grab the Gold edition (season pass and bonus gear) for The Division through the official Brazilian Uplay store and confirm it works and was playing it last night.

I understand most people who are interested probably already bought the game via other methods, but this was definatley the cheapest Gold Ed I could find and I wanted to confirm this worked before posting.

This will require the use of a VPN or equivalent service/application as well as generating fake details for the purposes of passing the Social Security No (SSN/CPF) checks that the Brazilian Uplay store requires. I've seen similar methods posted for other releases so thought it would be of use to others.

Steps as follows:
1. Download and install/activate a VPN application. I use Tunnelbear (www.tunnelbear.com) and it works fine and has browser extensions available to make it even easier to use.
2. Turn on the VPN and set to Brazil as your country, then visit http://shop.ubi.com/ - it should direct you to the Brazilian store (use browser translation to read it in English)
3. Add The Division Gold ed to your cart for BRL 159.99 (standard ed is BRL 129.99 so not really worthwhile for the difference you pay)
4. Proceed to checkout, log in with any appropriate Uplay account details (this will tie in with your actual Uplay local account and how the game will be delivered/downloaded)
5. When prompted to fill out your personal details and enter a SSN/CPF no, you will need to make use of a site like this: http://www.fakeaddressgenerator.com/World/Brazil_address_gen…
6. Continue through the checkout process, proceed to pay via Paypal and finalise your purchase. I used my 28 Degrees card to avoid conversion fees.

I left the VPN on until after the Paypal process, I turned it off before Paypal checkout and it failed (as it reverts you back to the non-Brazil site).

You should then receive an email to your registered Uplay email address confirming your purchase (may need to translate it to English), and I received my key overnight in an email and automatically added to my Uplay account, but it may be quicker now that the game is actually released.

Hope this helps others score a great price on a great game!

        • @tommybutters: perhaps the servers come and go… I suppose the main thing is that it seems that the tunnelbear vpn is the source of the problem for some people. Might be worth trying a different VPN :)

          Sorry I can't help further!

    • I just tried this after having no luck with tunnel bear. Game appeared instantly in uPlay, awesome! Thanks buddy.

    • No other method worked, but this worked perfectly first time!

      Thank you, you beautiful human!

  • Just started the download… 15 hours until playable, 30 hours until fully complete.

  • Ugh.. Keep getting: We're sorry, we can not complete your purchase right now. On the PayPal page. Still with TunnelBear on too..

    • I'm getting the same error. When you look at the bottom of the page its actually an Australian PayPal link too. It is very frustrating.

      • Tried again, but this time it thinks I'm coming from Brazil and wants to confirm my account, and now wants me to change my password. I'm not doing that.. Too much stuffing around using this method. Some may have more luck, but I'm over it.

        • +1

Ok, looks like it got through this time, I did a combination of two things:

          1. I called up paypal questioning whether they blocked my transaction as they could see that I've attempted it. I told them to authorise it and they said they sent it for 'reveiw'

          2. I connected to the Softether VPN mentioned a few posts ago, connected to the Brazil server and went to the ubi store. I added the item to check out and went all the way to personal information, then I disconnected from the VPN before committing to purchase which took me to paypal, this time rather than giving me the generic error message, it finally went through and asked me for payment options, went through it all and finally got the thank you for purchase message in the ubi shop! Fingers crossed I don't get a refund and get the key.

          Hope this helps others.

        • +1

@clem0ximus: This did the trick. When you get the final link to the PayPal site, just disconnect the VPN and continue through PayPal.

Showed up in my uPlay account immediately.

          Thanks clem0ximus!!!

    • Never seen that problem before. Took me two days to successfully get the game. Keep trying!

  • I used GetFlix VPN from the lifetime subscription to their smart DNS service. As soon as I added it to cart I then disconnected to VPN, entered details and did credit card numbers and it worked.

  • Guys

Can anyone with the copy from nuveem confirm this >> https://www.reddit.com/r/GameDealsMeta/comments/3hh68n/regio…?

That it can be played outside SA region ?

    • Isn't this deal bought direct from the Ubisoft shop? Not sure if anyone here bought from Nuveem.

      • +1

Nuveem wouldn't work at all due to Paypal checks I believe.

Hence why I went via the Uplay store method.

  • I Keep getting: We're sorry, we can not complete your purchase right now. On the PayPal page.

Tried chrome and IE..tried disconnecting tunnelbear at various points advised above as well as leaving it on. PayPal just won't accept it :(

    • Tunnelbear did NOT work for me no matter how many times I tried and which method or browser and I kept getting your exact message. Try the VPN fleetfeather suggested which worked for me in the end.

"Guide and download link here: http://www.vpngate.net/en/howto_softether.aspx#windows
(when you pick a VPN server, pick the Brazilian server with the most uptime)"

      • With VPN gate softEther vpn I keep getting Error Code 1 Connection to the server failed to all 3 Brazilian servers I can see.
They also did not pop out the TCP/UDP protocol selection shown in the official guide on how to connect.

But when I finally got through from trying (n Chosen direct TCP)… it did not give me the confirmation window (also shown on the guide) "The VPN Connection is Established" & "Your Assigned IP address is: xxxxxxxxxx". But everything else seems to go through fine
When I checked my IP (via web and via ipconfig /all) public address it was still the same as before, however the VPN Gate Connection in the connection manger shows that I am "connected " and I do have the VPN adapter shown in the ipconfig /all.

It seems that I did not get assigned an IP address by the VPN DHCP even though I am connected to it? Or what should I have had done that is not mentioned in the guide? I'm pretty new to all this so anything might be helpful.

        • Did you still try to connect to the shop.ubi.com site to see if it took you to the BR site?

        • I did try the ubi shop everytime and still beings me back to my local ubi shop not ubi BR.
I looked up my public IP it does not get changed. But I am connected via VPN to the (VPN server?) IP in BR 179.183.xxx.xxx according to the connection manager main window.

        • @Boombadaboom: I could only see one Brazilian server but wouldn't let me connect.

I tested other countries without an issue guessing it's lots of people here trying to use / get on them

        • +1

Are you also getting the Error Code 1? I had that for a while and yes I was only seeing 1 BR server as well. But at some point I saw 3 and out of those 3 only 1 works. But it seems that it doesn't assign me a BR IP address.

        • got connected using udp option in the end.
Exact same problem with PayPal it just won't let me do it. Even tried my credit card direct and payment not authorised. Really sucks but I think PayPal are stonewalling me

        • Called Paypal. They told me its them blocking it and Im out of luck they cant help. Ask for an invoice or log in as guest was their answer. The invoice option well…yeah and there is no option to log in for a guest payment it has to be a paypal login. So unlucky for me they cant unblock it apparently.

        • @LittleDonny:

Hey mate did you try what I did? Add to cart, proceed all up until prior to redirecting to paypal and disconnect the VPN and then proceed to paypal. This seemed to do the trick for me

        • @clem0ximus: yeah mate tried that as well as other combinations of disconnecting at certain points. Exact same error regardless and using a direct CC number fails to authorise payment.

PayPal could see the attempts and clearly stated its their security and bad luck….

Have tried with the 2 different Vpns as well same issue

  • can anyone else complete this process recently? Otherwise what other vpn software can make this work?

  • +1

Just tried this and it works apparently, I got the order number BUT…
    1. I haven't received the emails
    2. The game haven't appeared on my list
    3. Order history on my Ubisoft account is blank

    Should I be panicking yet?

    • In the same boat right now.

      Fingers crossed.

      • Still nothing, and looking at my paypal account it seems no funds were deducted, despite the order confirmation.

  • Got it to Work!

Keep TunnelBear "on" until purchase complete. After you select to pay within Paypal, a new page will open up taking you back to Brazil page with purchased information.

    Good Luck

    • Tried with tunnelbear and kept it online throughout, but after clicking the confirm payment button the Paypal login window never pop up nor appear in the shop website?? SO basically I just can validate the "agree" then click "confirm payment" over and over and the page would reload over and over but never prompted further steps.

      • It should be pretty straight forward, I had to do mine twice as I turned of tunnelbear before finish payment with PayPal the first time. I suggest you use google translate on the page and make sure you fill out all forms.

      • i had to press the small words that just said buy it now, didnt know it was a button untill i translated and moused over the words "buy it now"

  • Seems as tho everybody is getting a mixed bag of errors, what works and what doesn't. All I can suggest is that it is possible to get it working you just need to be patient, persist and try all combination of methods mentioned on this page.

I got mine activated on my u play account almost instantly after PayPal checkout success, downloaded the game yesterday arvo and have since spent 5 hours on it, and collected all of the gold edition freebies in game.

Edit: I'll just add a summary of what methods u can try. You'll eventually run into a combination that works. And for $58 for the Gold edition it was definitely worth the effort for me!

    • tunnelbear vpn
    • softether vpn
    • maintain connection through the whole process
    • break VPN connection before you reach PayPal redirect
    • don't use your email account name when logging in with u play, just use the name
    • contact PayPal and advise them of your intention to purchase via a Brazilian online store and to authorise the 159.99 brazilian transaction
-try different browsers (mine even worked on Microsoft edge)
    • use incognito mode or private browsing
    • try to perform the transaction on mobile browser
    • I've been waiting 3 hours despite getting paypal success, it's not in my uplay and I haven't got an email with the code, just an email saying it's being processed by ubisoft brazil and may take up to 48 hours.

So who knows how long it'll take if you don't have it show up in uplay quickly.

      • any success yet?

        • Yeah I got it, it took about 6 hours for me for the email and for it to show up in my uplay.

I followed all the steps in OP's post using tunnelbear and paypal and it worked out at $61.

        • @Gr3m1in: awesome - yeah i'm in 1 hour waiting. :)

        • @Gr3m1in:
          That's good to hear man.

          I'm about 2 hours in.

The crazy thing is I made a second transaction for my mate on my PC. And he got his instantly.

My mate also pointed out that on the final page, where it says Your order is being processed or whatever…

The transaction summary actually shows the CD Key. (which he did not need, as he fired up his uplay and the game was there).

But it made me wonder, If the CD Key was displayed during my purchase.

EDIT: Got the email, and am downloading now. Took 2 hours 40 mins

        • @SpaceFrog: yeah took me about 2 hours..

awesome work. for anyone else wondering - just follow the instructions in the OP and enjoy..

then enjoy the 32gb download…. LOL - doesn't matter even if u have the beta it still downloads from scratch!

        • +2

          @01011010:

I'm at a LAN, copied the files off another mate.

        • @SpaceFrog: ahhh enjoy.

  • This worked brilliantly using Tunnelbear's Chrome extension, paid via PayPal using my 28 Degrees card.

AUD $58 charged to my card and the game is registered to my Uplay account.

    Cheers!

    • Did it the exact same way as CTG took about 1 hour to get an email saying the game will be in my account.

Opened up Uplay and the game was sitting there ready to download. did not get any CDkeys though im guessing there is a way to find it to try register it to steam.

      Thanks

      • @Radicfazed: Yes you can find your cd keys for your uplaygames.
Just fire it up and login then look to your upper right hovering to the right of your user name there's a pull down arrow.
        Click "Account Information"
        Then "My Games"
You can then click "Show key" next to the game's title.

Let us know if you can actually re-register it under steam?

Btw I have tried using mobile phone, PC, and laptop. IE, Firefox, Chrome. Disabled firewall, antivirus, browser online protections, AdBlocks. Used both SoftEther VPN (not getting assigned IP in Brazil server case, some other countries works some others doesn't) and Tunnelbear which works but upon purchase process, at the checkout it just basically keep giving me "Failed Payment Authorization" (spelled in Portuguese of course) before prompted paypal login (I've never seen paypal login screen and was still in ubi shop website).

So I guess basically ubi straight out reject it? or maybe something that has got to do with my TPG connection? Is there eanyone under TPG that had successfully completed this?

        • there's a box that need to get tick before you click the paynow button i think its the T&C box before you can access the paypal login.thats was my problem when i tryed to do it using tunnelbear the website get (profanity) its not showing all the details on the website lol.I ended up using hola vpn for mine tho. if u use hola just change your ubisoft password after your done using hola and turn off hola when you get to paypal log in page. got my cd key after 3hrs of wait time. good luck

  • Failed for me with tunnelbear using paypal & credit card.. Would it work better if there is credits in the paypal account?

Also what are people using to translate the page??

I am trying VPN Gate client method next..

  • oki got it working via Hola + my other paypal account that allowed for instant bank transfer..

now ill change paypal & ubisoft passwords lol (besides hola isnt guranteed to be bad, just vulnerable)

    • Are you still able to play and/or the game is in your games library right now?? Also are both email senders the same? You verified hey are indeed from Ubi? or are they from Digital River?

      • i first recieved a confirmation email that my order went through and was pending approval, but then later that day i got the two emails that i posted, so i never got the game or keys and it got refunded back to my paypal account.

        • This happened to me too… I just kept trying though lol.

        • @zkniiL: any luck with retries?

        • @phor8: Yeah, I retried like 4 times and they all failed but for some reason during one of the tries it actually went through PayPal and i recieved an order confirmation and the game was added into my library a couple of hours later…

  • Took me a while to post back being new user plus numerous calls to PayPal.

Mine was being denied due to my credit card. I had to add a bank account as method of payment instead. This took a few days as you need to do verification steps.

I then used tunnelbear as per OPs post however when I got to the page on ubisoft website that sends you to PayPal, I had to to right click and open in new tab (using chrome left vpn on).

Put in my details and paid. I ended up getting season pass only as due to my troubles I went to JB and purchased the standard game :)

Oh well saved me downloading 32Gb I suppose.

  • Thanks OP, worked fine for me using PIA VPN.

  • I turned off the VPN before the paypal checkout (as paypal wouldn't load with the vpn on) and relocated me to the english site, yet the transaction still went through.
    Thanks for the deal!

    Anyone had any luck today?

First few tries I was getting the "Failed Payment Authorization"

    Now I am getting

    "Erro:

    Número do erro: SUB_000018"

I have tried with Bear tunnel and VPN Gate no luck with either. Check the box to process payment click submit and end up with the above error.

    • Not sure if my email might have something to do with it as it is end in .au
Might make and new email and sus it out.

Also have 8 orders with pending payment request.

    • +2

I'm pretty much in the same position as you right now. Tried TunnelBear, VPN Gate, and PIA VPN, no dice.

I'm getting the same error message, except the error code is "Número do erro: SYS_000001"

      Anyone else have better luck?

      • +2

Nope, I'm having the same problem as you guys. First Error Number: SYS_000001, then Error Number: SUB_000018.
No luck at all after multiple tries.

Maybe the party is over? :(

        • +4

getting same issue. anyone from previous posts confirm if way to bypass this? (tried every conceivable thing posted previously)

        • +2

Yeah been getting error SYS_000001 all last night and today, maybe they stopped it somehow.

      • +1

        Keep getting this too :(

      • +1

Yeah getting the same error, maybe they onto us.
