North America to Australia - same great deals?

Hi there,

I live in North America and would like to go to Australia for a few weeks in August. There are some really amazing deals to LAX if you're starting in Australia, but what if you're starting in North America? I was wondering if anyone knew how to reverse the origin and destination of the flights to get the same deal. If you can't do it through the site "I want that Flight" which typically seems to host the good deals, does anyone know of a North American flight forum or website that offers the same kind of deals?

It seems like something that should be offered but I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've seen quite a few deals from LA to Australia over the past couple of weeks. However, August is off-peak so you should score some good deals.

Check out Skyscanner for August. Around $700 USD Return with a stopover in Hawaii which is the best way to fly over IMO.

Last week they were offering SFO to LA for $416 flying in May and $383 from LA to Australia a couple weeks previous.

  • flights are usually expensive from the "destination end"
look at the Skyscanner, trip advisor, Expedia, kayak etc
Priceline has this auction thingy.. choose your price. there are so many tricks to it.. used on hotel though
Also, look at the US deal sites, like slick deals, FatWallet, etc
Always good to set alert on external sites to drop you an email when the price reaches the desired level is a good idea

  • adioso is pretty decent as well

  • Thanks everyone, will check those out!
