Hi all
When is the right time to move my daughter from a baby seat to baby booster? I read on Vicroad but the info that they had on their website is very sketchy.
My daughter is turning 4 in Oct, currently weight around 13kg.
Thanks

A step up in restraint class is a step down in safety. Your next move should be a Type G restraint which harnesses until approx 8 or a convertible booster which harnesses and then converts to booster mode with a seatbelt. Honestly your little girl sounds small so either option should last her for awhile!
The law is MINIMUM of 4 years old for booster seat . I have 6 year olds and a 4 year old, all still harnessed. Safest.
Totally agree
Just looking into long term options as we just had a little boy :).

While I totally agree with everything else you've said, I'd have to question this statement. IF a child was too small for a different class of seat, as it happens is the case with OP, then yes, it would definitely apply, but for a child who has outgrown a convertible booster, there is no way that a type G seat is less safe.
A type G harness is the same class as a convertible booster used in harness mode.
So the same thing :)
Thank you all
Rear facing seats are significantly safer in a front impact. Leave them in for as long as they will fit. I had giant kids so sadly I didn't get a full year with either kid. Forward facing seats are more convenient but aren't as safe.
With A4 seats if you have another one you should be right :) much better limits now!
i just got rid of the last booster seat from my car. the years (11) of car seats are over.
Haha…..you sounded relief
When she's too high (tall in the torso) for her current seat..
There's no age limit, it's about the size.
