I've recently purchased a uhd tv and would like a proper sound system to go along with it. I'm looking at purchasing one of the following sound systems:
I'm choosing to purchase a kit that comes with the receiver and speakers simply for ease, but I am open to purchasing everything separately if there is a better combination.
Which would you pick and recommend?

Whichever you choose will be way better than a soundbar or 2.1 speaker system.
I noticed that all your choices are Yamaha receivers just with a different sized Yamaha speaker. If Yamaha is the limit of your choices then the best idea is to visit the store and listen for each Yamaha speaker. Since you are choosing out of Yamamha receivers they should all sound the same (eg. same sound effects, same graphic equaliser options, same decoder algorithms).
If sound perfection is the aim of the game then you will have to design a setup for your needs.
Eg.
- Room size will determine minimum speaker size.
- In future are you planning to upgrade the speakers or amplifier separately? Or are you shopping for a complete system that stays together for life.
- Is it primarily for movies and never for music? Then you go for detailed speakers with a beefy sub.
Do you have Costco membership? They tend to have brand named speakers and packages within your price range. eg. JBL SCS200.5 Surround Sound Speakers $199.99 @ Costco Canberra (Membership Required).
