Hi
Not sure if others have noticed when purchasing various electronic goods including flash memory there are white stickers covering the warranty statements on the packaging.
Has happened when purchasing from PC-Byte, CentreCom and Harvey Norman for various Samsung flash memory. Is the sticker there to state they have no obligation to honor the 5 or 10 year warranty, but instead only cover 1 Year?
Do they not have faith in their own product lasting the "originally" advertised time or are these inferior products we are receiving in aus?
Its not 'faith'. They dont want to do warranty after the 1st year. Then want you to contact Samsung or Kingston or whatever.
I personally do not have a problem with this. The less contact I have with PC-Byte, CentreCom and Harvey Norman the better.
