Dick Smith 50% off Camera Bags - Lowepro Streamline 100 $25, Lowepro Orion Backpack $55, Golla Travis $35

80

Note: Don't use click and collect in case there's no stock. Best to go to a store and see what they have.

As part of their closing down sale, Dick Smith are doing 50% off camera bags. From what I could tell, it's across most, if not everything they're selling. Good time to grab one for the cameras they were discounting back at Christmas if you haven't already.

I grabbed myself a Golla, which is decent quality/functionality for $35 and looks pretty sweet to boot.

Some examples (sorry couldn't link all to DSE website as they're not shown online):

Lowepro Streamline 100 - $25
Lowepro Orion Backpack - $55
Golla Travis - $35

There's more stock in-store than what's shown on their website.

Bourke Street Melbourne had 3 Lowepro backpacks left.

just remember if you click and collect and there's no stock in the store by time you go down there, you join the list as an unsecured creditor and get bugger all :)

    • Haha, good point. I've updated the post to add that bit.

    • While I agree, shopping in-store is preferable, here is the information I have.

The regular procedure still applies, if you click and collect and the item is no longer in stock, you will get a refund: http://imgur.com/lb0zS8G

If you bought an item prior to receivership and the company was unable to deliver that item post receivership, then you would become an unsecure creditor.

If you ordered online you paid with PayPal or credit card. In both cases, you can contact the Bank/PayPal and they'll do a charge-back.

Zero risk, except for a slight delay in getting your money back.

  • Picked up a Lowepro Adventura 160 for $30 dollars.

$49.95 at TGG and $55 at HN on clearance.

If you're in the market for a Lowepro Streamline bag, Big W still has the Lowepro Streamline 250 for $15. That's 70% off. Plenty of stock near me, too.

    • Yeah.. I got one of these too… Decent bag - specially for smaller cameras

  • Was there Thursday, and prices were higher than two weeks before then. Go figure. Can't be bothered trying my luck anymore.

  • Not worth the hassle, rather get it from a store that isnt closing down for peace of mind.

  • errr still overpriced on most items in store. Will have to wait for the real sale.

    • Agreed. Was in there today……discounts were only around 20%-30%, and the vast majority of those products were DS branded products.

Back in late November and early December, practically half the store was 75% off. Little wonder no one was buying anything today.

  • It's like time travelling.
