eBay Deals MUST Be Suspended

Opened up OzB, greeted by [Deals Suspended]. I vote for eBay postings to be suspended and the deal posters compensated by eBay with vouchers, for their time being wasted in posting deals that eventually got suspended. (eBay will not lose much anyway, as said vouchers will be forfeited in instances of returns or part refunds, which has happened in the past).

A more sensible idea would be to have one or two posts that people edit to add the deals to they find when there is a code like to that. Rather than have the whole front page flooded. But whatever

Agree, hard to see other deals when there are 50 new individual deals relating to the one sale. Happens a lot when ebay has a sale. Same thing happens when the woolworths and Coles catalogues come out, we end up with a main post of the good items and then 10 other posts about individual items

    • It'll be very easy to miss a deal that way. With eBay sales where quantities are often limited, time is of the essence. If a deal is particularly good, it'll get upvoted to the main page and people who subscribe to email notifications will immediately receive an email.

Comments discussing that particular item will be easily found too, not lost in a sea of comments about other items. A large benefit of forums like these are the comments section, where you can read about other people's experiences with the product.

If good deals were simply added to the main post, only people with lots of free time to sit in front of a computer and keep refreshing one post would be able to catch the best deals.

One possible solution would be to have a feature where you'll only receive x number of deals for a particular site a day?

    • i thought the same. why list every item on ebay, unless its a fantastic deal - meaning super cheap to start with , then 20% off, not just rrp and ebay 20%.

What's happening with that eBay 20% tech discount? Is it going to go live at some point?

  • I used the code and paid via PayPal. Only paid the discounted amount. I checked when I paid and checked again on the PayPal site.

  • Can someone recap what happened?

I missed the goss and every page is really long to trawl through to find what happened.

  • Err.. what?
