Hi
I am travelling back to Perth and have a long stopover at Suvarnabhumi Airport Bangkok. Travelling with 2 kids (2 yr old and 3 yr old). I definitely need a good hotel but cannot understand the area and rules at all. Never been to Bangkok before so not sure about the transport system to or from hotel back to airport. Checked few hotels online but every hotel check in time is 1pm and checkout time is 12 noon. I will be arriving at 6:10am and connecting flight to Perth is 23:55pm Local time. That means i cannot check in before 1pm or will i have to book a room for 2 days?
Any hotels provide shuttle bus/van service to and from airport?
Would love to spend few hours in the city shopping street to kill some time.
Any other options or suggestions welcome.

Another option is to leave your bags at the airport and grab a taxi to one of the malls like the MBK. There is heaps of stuff to do there like cinemas, the magic art museum etc. Then you could checkin to one of the motels for a few hours before the flight.
Trip advisor is the spot
Transport from swampy is easyAgree with the above. The Novotel at the airport does a 24 hr stay from check in which means you can check in as soon as you clear customs etc. However it can be really expensive.
The train into the city leaves from the airport and only takes 30 mins to Siam shopping.
Locals tell me the train is always late. I would allow time for this eventuality.
Ask for an early check in request which will end up meaning you'll only need the one night booked.
Would be helpful but not required if you had status with a particular hotel chain in order to get that.
