The Airbnb discount offer entitles you to get AUD 100 OFF total Airbnb booking cost for any Tree House or Private Island listing of AUD 400 or more. Discount shall be automatically applied to all eligible listings and qualified bookings. In order for booking to qualify for discount eligible guest must complete booking for any Tree House or Private Island listing (including host acceptance) by or before March 9, 2016 at 11:59pm (AEDT) with a check-in date by or before September 30, 2016.

      Have a look at the search page. The definition of "island" is pretty loose and determined by the property owner. There is an "island" in Canberra for $30 per night and a room in a "treehouse" at Bondi Beach for $65 per night for example.

        there is no island in canberra, all of the country is the island and it isn't private, so dont know why they can list that.

      If the price is right why not? Stayed at a private island off Tassie with a group of friends last year.. it was great!

      The last couple of islands I purchased were only available as 99 year leases anyway so you could still do the same thing through Airbnb and get an extra $100 off.

    The Airbnb UK site gives you "£100 OFF total Airbnb booking cost for any Tree House or Private Island listing", albeit with minimum spend of £400 (which is like gazillion aussie dollars at current exchange rate ;)
