An unbelievably good price on this road bike groupset - no doubt on runout as the new model is coming in, but an excellent deal nonetheless.
In my opinion, this would be a terrific upgrade from Sora or Tiagra, and a good upgrade from 105.

No new Ultegra groupset coming out. It is on sale because compact cranksets (50/34 chainrings) arent as popular and have to take the 11-28 cassette, english BB, braze on FD options.
The full priced ones for $750 give you options for different configurations.

You will get to the coffee shop feeling better about yourself due to the grams shaved off. Or you could lose a kilo and gain far more mechanical advantage
From 105 -> Ultegra:
-Lighter components
-Some smaller parts are replaceable rather than the whole part (cranks/chain rings etc)
-Tend to look nicer
-Shifting accuracy higher
Yep,no new Ultegra to be seen for at least two years I reckon, haven't even had any official news of a new Dura Ace apart from rumoured bits, so no new Ultegra on the way. Great price.
