seriously, you expect the airline to discount the govt taxes, passenger movement charges & airport fees, which they have no control over and have to pay anyway?
this deal originates on their singapore website. Only is Australia are airlines forced to show the FULL airfare amount inclusive of fare component and all taxes.

Yep - all flights are from Singapore.
Doesn't apply to journey's commencing/departing Australia. Still a good deal…..if you live in Singapore or book a one way flight from Aus.

Long time lurker for Ozbargain…. finally signed up.
I just booked 4 tickets for Melbourne > Singapore "BUSINESS" return for about $620 + $20 CC fee per person using that special 20% off code. I got a payment confirmation as well for this.
Economy fares was about $320 + $20 CC fee using this code also.
Just to check, I did a Melbourne > Singapore business return without the code and the amount came out to $1168 + $20 CC booking fee.
NOTE 1: This is using desktop google browser and there was 2 lines of error saying the promotion does not apply to my flights but still got the cheaper fares.
NOTE 2: There is another 20% code using ZALORA20.

Scoot "Business" isn't too bad. Don't expect lay flat beds (though I just saw Air Asia ad for that.. not sure what routes it's flying)
Seats a bigger and comfier than economy. Head rest didn't have quite enough extension for me. Ditto leg rest, and i'm only 185cm (6'1)Configuration is 2 3 2, so pretty nice if you can snag a side (and you're a couple!)
The departure time leaving Singapore for Sydney is damn awful though - 1:45am. And worse if their flight is delayed by 3 hours. We were glad we splurged on it for our return trip.
Also make sure you arrive the day "before" your flight. I've heard stories of people missing their flight.
Make sure you price match with Jetstar
Scoot works it will get you from A to B. Business worth the extra money. Nothing like full fare business, but similar to jetstar business.
