Genuine Sony PS4 Dual Shock 4 Dual Charging Station $31.98 @ Dick Smith (Was $39.99)

60

Part of Dick's clearance sale at 20% off. Target and Kogan currently have these for $37.00 and EB for $39.95, so a decent little saving.

I checked stock levels for 2000, 3000 & 4000 and all available for click and collect.

Edit: This is the original Sony product and not one of the fakes that are out there.

  • My local (Knox) has none but their gaming section has been awful for years now.

Not really a deal when eBay is selling them for as little as $5-$6 delivered!

    • The one on ebay is fake. Worth around $3. This one is made from Sony

    • As been said that's either a fake or an aftermarket which is not an official Sony product. This here in this deal is official Sony real deal.

      • I've updated the post to reflect its a genuine accessory to avoid confusion.

    • Non Sony brand and they don't have a power supply like the original. The cheapies just connect to the usb port on the ps4.

  • Thanks. Scored one from the Morley store, the one outside of galleria shopping centre. Had to ask at counter, apparently 1 left after my purchase.

  • Jeez, I remember umming and erring over one of these when they had them on sale for $8 or $9 during the pre-administration fire sale.

    • wow did they have them that cheap! Drats.

you can just use your phone charger and a usb cable to charge without any problems (the controllers)?

      • It was in December (I believe) when DS did that massive inventory mark down after the share price tanked. Games and accessories were 70% off, though at most stores (including my local), these chargers were pretty much the only things left.

      • Yep you can. Although these charging docks actually plug into the accessory port at the bottom of the controller and not the micro USB port at the back of the controller.

      • Can you use a phone charger for the ps4 controller. You couldn't for the ps3 ones (they wouldn't charge)

        • Yes you can, if the charger is for an Android device. The PS4 controller has a microUSB port. The previous gen one had a miniUSB port.

        • @albert0pia:
It's wasn't the micro or mini port that was the problem. The ps3 controller needed some smarts to charge. They would charge via pc usb port or ps3 usb port but not with a phone charger usb port. (and using the correct cable of course)

        • @PVA: Oh. I never used one extensively. Thank Goodness that's not the case with the PS4 controller.
Wouldn't it be better to charge using a cable while you use it, especially if you've only got one comtroller?

        • @albert0pia:
On the ps4 we have the setting on that let's you charge for 3 hours after you turn it off.
