A few months ago, I discovered the Yume App. It's basically an app that is supposed to be for restaurants and cafes to reduce food waste by offering 50% off to customers to get rid of excess food they may have. Unfortunately, when I've checked the app, it seems to be the same venues offering the same thing daily.
Well, looks like they are pumping up their marketing and are offering $1 dishes from 20 hot restaurants around Melbourne. Before someone chimes in, the answer is no, not literally dishware but food items such as desserts mostly, some appetisers & mains. These appear to be one-off dishes for the day as I can't find them in their menus however this is a huge reduction in price for all of these items. OK, the deals:

- Download Yume on either the App Store or Google Play
- Create an account by choosing a username and password of your choice or by logging in with Facebook
- Open the app at 3pm this Saturday, 5th of March
- Scroll through the list of venues taking part and select one that takes your fancy to view their full list of offers
- Select the offer you want to eat and tap the 'buy' button
- Enter your credit card details and tap 'pay' to finalise your purchase
- Head to the venue behind the delicious dish you have purchased between 3-4pm
- Show the venue your YuMeal Voucher (located in the voucher section of your app)
- Pick up your YuMeal and tap 'Redeem' on your voucher
Is there any benefit to having a referral code? It is asking for one on sign up.
