I'm pretty sure this ain't gonna taste like it though.
I am using it, not drinking it. Smells nice though.
Smells like lemons
With this one you will foam at the mouth …
Do yourself a favor and buy a proper car shampoo. Just find a shop what sells detailing products and get a good quality shampoo. They are usually highly concentrated so don't get turned off by small bottle. They last longer than this stuff. I would rate this product 3/10…
Any reason why you'd rate it so low?
But but Meguiar's is like the number one brand in car care.
For off the shelf, Meguiars is one of the best. Tons of positive reviews online, don't let one Ozbargainer sway your mind otherwise.
For me though i go with Mothers California Gold.
Yes, they're a bit like 2in1 hair shampoo/conditioners.
Think I paid less for 2.5L Autoglym at SuperCheap eBay
$34 delivered. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Autoglym-Bodywork-Shampoo-Conditi…
thanks, I will go check out supercheap. Have you used the external plastic trim gel before?
I paid around $18 on sale for the autoglym.
Haven't used the other product.
I like the Meguiar's stuff. Always used till I moved to Autoglym. But for that price I'll pick up a bottle.
Meguiar's have amazing marketing department. It is definitely not number one and it's not even close. Have you ever seen professional car detailer using Meguiar's product? Most of them like myself hate that company for selling overpriced average quality products which for some reason have good reviews. If you go to shop like SCA or repco all products they sell are similar. Meguiar's might be even one of the better ones but if you go to shop what sells detailing products only you will find out they sell different range of Meguiar's products which is much much better than the cheap stuff but it's still overpriced. You can get better product cheaper. I won't recommend any shop or brand. Reason why I rate it 3/10? It is not really concentrated which means you have to use quite a lot of it to clean a car. Performance is hardly average and it is not PH neutral so it's not good for car where wax is applied. Another thing is 2in1 products usually don't work and this is not exemption. I got a bottle for free to test and there is no wax like effect. Sorry for my english it's not my first language…
That's absolute BS. I have been using this for quite some time and just washed our 2 cars with it today. It creates quite a good wax indeed washing my car today which I washed 2 weeks ago the suds and water wouldn't lather well because it was beading too quickly.
Obviously not as good as a standalone wax but its a great product. I am not sure you actually 'tried it out'.
What other products have you tried?
Give us an alternative product in this price range then. All you've done is rant on about how you don't like Meguiars but you haven't helped anyone.
If I recommend something it would look like I'm trying to promote other products rather than give advice.
Something cheaper and def better quality then Meguiar's is this one http://www.chemguys.com.au/Premium_Car_Wash_Shampoo_p/cws_30…
Unfortunately in Australia the only place selling this brand is that online store and I think there is a store somewhere but not in NSW. One full cap is enough for 20l. For one car you only need half or less… It will last a year or two.
Another decent product is this one but be careful with this brand as not every product they sell is good.
