Faulty iPhone 4s water damaged (what will Apple store do?)

Hi all,

we have a water damaged iphone 4s. What happens if we bring to apple store? It looks as the iphone 4s are discontinued, so is there any point going to the apple store? I had it checked before (over a year ago) and I was told I could replace it for a refurbished one for a fee. However as they don´t have them anymore what option will there be?

If any of you as a similar recent experience please let me know.

    They still stock some 4s and the replacement fee is would work around 220$ or so. Book a genius bar appointment and go in. I had my 2 year 4 months old iPhone 5s replacement done within warranty for free. It was not damaged though , the display on it started giving lines.

    They still have stock of the 4S for out of warranty replacements. You can't buy them new anymore.

    There is no way in hell you'd get a 5S or 6.
