Where to Buy Reliable Cheap HDMI Cables?

Hi, I thought it would be useful to have a post on cheap HDMI cables.

Many of us have bought TV's etc and had expensive cables offered to us by the usual suspects.

I have bought several HDMI cables online/ebay etc, usually for only a few dollars, but that was years ago.

It would be good to have a current list of recommended suppliers. It doesn't have to be the cheapest, sometimes quick delivery or a wide range of options is useful.

Let me know where you get your cables from!

    MSY

  • If you need HDMI v2.0 cable for 4K monitor or 4K TV, I'd recommend Alogic Pro Series cables,

ALOGIC 1m Pro Series High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet Male to Male Ver 2.0 Retail BLISTER $7.83
ALOGIC 2m Pro Series High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet Male to Male Ver 2.0 Retail BLISTER $11.99
ALOGIC 5m Pro Series High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet Male to Male Ver 2.0 Retail BLISTER $18.99

and Warcom offers free shipping from time to time, subscribe to their newsletter or checks their website regularly.

    • These are a friggin ripoff. I just bought a heap when they were on sale at msy and the asian pc shops.

Firstly 1 meter is useless unless used in a patch situation and 2 m is getting to be useless if you have a large TV.

  • It's a digital cable…it can either transmit 0 or 1. Grab them from MSY. From when I bought them last, they all now have gold plated connectors.

  • I agree that once a cable is in spec, it doesn't matter what brand it is in terms of data. I see the MSY ones are rated at 1.4 whilst the ALOGIC are 2.0. I wonder what difference there is? I have seen a few people find that earlier versions of cables don't support 4k tv well. My next tv will be 4k so I will need a ver 2.0.

I have used both sellers before, but lately Warcom has been getting some bad press on whirlpool.

Both are probably good options though.

    • I have $5 HDMI cables from MSY running 4K@60Hz right now on the LG 4K TV. There is no hdmi 2.0 cable, the existing cables will support 4k, you need a hdmi 2.0 port on your tv and your computer GPU.

      • thanks, clear up some confusion. There is an MSY near me so easy to pick some up.

  • 7m flat hdmi cable from msy for $15

Msy is a no a brainer
