Yeah, I always though Gateway were a Sh!t brand too..
Having said that, this is Acer we're talking about, so a premium Acer could well be equivalent to a mid-low end of the actual quality brands..

Note the cashback runs until March 31. However, you need to redeem online within 14 days of purchase (assuming today). The online lodging process requires you to enter the Serial Number Idendification (SNID). The SNID is located on the box, so you won't know it until you receive the item. You'll also see it is run by ACER, so they do own Gateway. Whether Gateway can be considered their "premium" brand, well that's debatable.
I didn't know Gateway were owned by Acer. I bought a gateway laptop while on holidays in the US several years ago and it was an awesome buy.
