Ultratune Marrickville Scoopon

Hey guys, i bought an ultratune scoopon at their marrickville store for a major service + full coolant flush for around $69. Upon googling before i was going to go in i found alot of negative feedback and people saying they'll try overcharge/scam me.
Just wondering if i tell them before not to do anything which costs more then not much they'll be able to do apart from not give me a pink slip right? Are there any stories of mechanics damaging parts or anything so they need to be replaced, bought the scoopon already trying to decide if it'll just be more of a headache trying to use it.

    Does the Scoopon include parts and oil?

      It said it includes oil and labour.

    Can you change the location? mascot ultratune is a good joint!

    All ultratunes are franchises so they will all be different. Some people do own more then one store.

    so basically that is part of the game they get you in there and then find other things wrong! Or try and up sell on products.

    You can try and make it clear that you only want a basic service?

      He definitely needs halogen lightbulb fluid as an upgrade to standard.

        Don't forget the new regulation that requires screws in your tyres for extra grip.

    We used to go to Burwood or Ashfield(same franchise owner) and they were cool. Never had a problem with them and never over charged us. They always call for authorisation on optional repairs like brakes etc.

    Like going to any other auto service, all you need to do is tell the reception that you only want the work that is included in the Scoopon to be done. Any extras they need to call you for authorisation.

    We had referred quite a few friend to Ultratune over the years after many complaints that a simple service job that should cost $200 - $300 ended up $700 - $1000. One of the main culprit was Km T&AS at Campsie.
