        It's a valid excuse. They're simply admitting the product is poorly packaged and likely to arrive damaged. Given couriers and/or Australia Post' track record and the fact it will be packaged exactly the same, it's just as likely to arrive damaged.

        As to the repeated void warranty claim, sure that may be so but that's just another reason not to buy said product. Inflexible vendors and the Australia Tax = no sale, now and forever. Reasonable pricing and local warranty support irrespective of country of purchase = win win for all.

        Don't go taking this as a shot at the store rep, but there needs to be real justification to such a price increase for a market not that far away from where a product is made (assuming it's made in China).

  Do you need the warranty is there a high defect rate? if so that would be concerning

  Would go with Spackbace on this one, cheaper from the UK

  Works out to be about the same as ry.com.au with cash rewards and voguery as the promo code. $242.55 vs $243.90 so not really a massive saving. They have free shipping as well

  And yes, they are an Aussie company so there is no void of warranty.

  Creepy as hell. Also rfid does not work that way
