It is selling on the site for $29.99, but the voucher code (CL69B45CL) will give you a further discount of $5.00 a bottle. That makes it $24.99 per bottle.

I love this wine. It's one of my all-time favourites and I've been waiting for it to come back on sale after seeing it for $30 on Vinomofo. How can you be sure it's this one?

  • -7

Yeah, it's a private forum and if I find out who you are your subscription/access will be cancelled.

It was also sold by another merchant a while back, down to $18pb delivered when a discount code was available.

    • yes perhaps he should have credited you if the code was exclusive to your forum? :)

btw do your members receive many exclusive offers?

      • +2

        Some, including from MWG.
Forum membership rules do not permit publishing private info intended for members elsewhere, even if credited.

        • fair enough…

perhaps this knowledge (of exclusive discounts) might encourage a few ozbargainers to join/try your forum?

or even better, offer a deal here to do so :)

@tonester: Membership is $36/year. You can save that on a single deal or a single bottle that you may not find out about elsewhere. There are 60 with free memberships another 90 or so on $12 foundation memberships, not interested in offering discounted memberships as I have enough members for now.

I have closed off accepting new subscriptions for a while if people are going to abuse the membership, most likely a recent new member.

@redbigot: I had no idea this site existed. You just saved me $60 on 2 cartons, so I'm happy to pay for a membership.

          @zzymurgy:
Yeah, come back in 2-3 months or send me an email to go on a wait-list.

          @zzymurgy:
You found the deal on Ozbargain not the bigot site.

    Hahahaha!!!!!!!

Qidjibo has the Ozbargain spirit and gets shot down by a profiteering private message board owner who's happy to get free info on a public board.

      Oh the irony!

As you aren't a member you have no idea what happens or is published on my subscriber-only Forum and how little is taken from free forums.
Re profit, I wish, I get less than $10/hour before costs for the time I spend, it's a retirement hobby, not a business and the fee is meant to keep out the riff-raff, obviously some enterprising person has thought it was worth the small price.

        • Thou doth protest too much.

        • If you don't make a profit, give it up. But please quit the whingeing.

Businessmen are the enemies of Ozbargainers.

  • james halliday review on the site is word for word the same as on the MY Wine guy listing. i dont remember seeing it on mofo. was it the same vintage?

  • Title should reflect total price for 6 bottles. You can't only buy 1 bottle.
Minimum purchase is 6 bottles with a total cost of: $179.94 or 149.94 with discount

  • That is correct dynamike. Not sure how to change

      done :)

    • If you need to know in future, there's an edit button/tab after you post.

  • Penfolds RWT Barossa Valley Shiraz 2012

    • Full marks for wishful thinking…

      • when others sold this wine for similar prices, what's the secrecy about it? no one would buy it for RRP any way and for $30 there're other wines with similar calibre, I appreciate your work, but once it's online, it's spilled water!
if you close your new membership, you have less persuading power, so lose-lose…

Principle. It's not about this particular wine. My Wine Guy is happy it's gone public. :-)

As I said, my site/forum a hobby not a business, I don't want/need any new members for a while until enough fail to renew. I don't care about "persuading power", who am I meant to be persuading? People either see the value of membership or not. Anyway, I've taken off the "Subscribe" option, expected attrition rate on non-renewals would see it come back in 2-3 months, maybe longer.

:-) Simon at MWG decided it was getting a bit too much action after all and cancelled the code, still a little left from my subscribers.
