Anything better than Vodafone $30 unlimited plan

I'm on the above plan mainly due to the fact that sometimes if the company I work for is a pain, I could be on the phone with them for 2hrs plus in a day so unlimited calls is a necessary. I also get 500Mb on the above plan.

Is there anything cheaper/better on the market?

Truth be told I dislike Vodafone and their reception can be crappy, granted sometimes I'm in server rooms in deepest darkest North Sydney so having 1 bar reception is understandable (LOL!).

Optus I'm not sure about and I cant afford Telstra.

I mean 500Mb is a bit stingy in this day and age, is getting $25 unlimited calls and 1gb possible?

Vaya unlimited 24. $24 month. Unlimited calls and text. 1.5GB data. Optus network. And before Feb 29 free express sim delivery.

    • Which Telco is Vaya with?

      • +2

        Optus Network.

Apparently very very very bad customer service.

  • Vaya ^ or amaysim UNLIMITED 1GB ($24.90) or 2GB ($29.90) https://www.amaysim.com.au/mobile-plans?icid=homepage_nav:mo…
amaysim is with Optus and I think Optus performs much better in Sydney than in Melbourne.

With Jeenee I get unlimited calls and texts with 2.5gb of internet for $25.

    • Damn, that's better than Vaya's $24 unlimited calls & text that only has 1.5GB of data. What network is Jeenee on?

      • Its Optus network. But its $28 at the moment not $25.

        • Yup the "best" you can do with Jeenee is to go to https://www.jeenee.org.au/products/sim-packs/ and pick the 1.5gb option on the far right column which gives you 1.5GB Data, unlimited calls & texts for $25 but then that's just $1 more than Vaya for the same thing. Also after 6 months the price goes up to $30/month. Not such a great deal at the moment.

        • @Agret: Sorry man. I only signed up like two months ago. I didn't expect that they had changed their plans already.

        • @froggym: Never hurts to check what's around, you sure your plan isn't going to go up in price after 6 months?

  • You can have as much (26Gb) or as little (400min calls) as wished for on 365 day flexible Voda pre paid

  • kogan is $305 unlimited a year with 3gb data but vodafone network

  • If you're looking at $30, Optus prepaid is pretty reasonable with unlimited calls/text and 3GB data and some international credit too
    http://www.optus.com.au/shop/mobile/prepaid/plans

    • I am using Optus too. It has benefit of data roll over so you can carry forward your unused data.

Just moved to the $50 Vodafone plan with unlimited calls/texts and 10GB data. Seemed like a pretty good deal too me

  • Aldi uses (part of) the Telstra network and has some pretty attractive packages.

  • I have a $39.90 Three-Month amaysim UNLIMITED Mobile Service with 5GB Data I'm trying to sell that has to be activated today. Let me know if you're interested. It was originally from groupon.

  • Definitely check out Amaysim's "Unlimited 1Gb" plan at $24.90.

Amaysim has good customer service and great value plans.

From what I've heard about companies like "Vaya" and others that offer cheap plans that look good on the surface…is that their customer service is no good.

I've been with Amaysim for a few years now.

    No problems. Ever.

Customer service has always been good.

Just got my Mum and Dad onto Amaysim and they're now saving a heap on their mobile bills compared to before (Optus / Vodafone).

  • I must be missing something but how come Vodafone's own prepaid gets

1.5Gb + bonus 1.5Gb and yet postpaid gets only 500Mb?

    http://www.vodafone.com.au/personal/prepaid/plans

I dont get it, surely postpaid is the more loyal customer? Or they locked you in and they dont care?

  • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/236368 $180 a year voda 3g only 1gb data.

  • 1GB with Kogan for $16.95- https://www.koganmobile.com.au/plans/mobile/
    1.5GB with Vaya for $18 (first 6 months) - http://www.vaya.net.au/?option=Mobile&4Gsimonly&Unlimited

BOTH unlimited calls/sms. Seems like an awesome deal?

    • The Kogan looks good , can you start with the 5 gb deal then move to the 1gb after a month ?

  • Switch to Vodafone prepaid. $30 packs are $10 in Coles from Wednesday and in Woolworths today and tomorrow. $30 gets you 1.5GB. Postpaid as ever is a waste of time. Never lock yourself into anything. Unless you want a third world MVNO like Kogan or Jeenee or Amaysim.

  • Competitive prices for that least committed user relayed above. Even $25 off ∞10 countries option this month while the rest play catch up.
    + 10Gb of data champagne.
experiment & claim features from sim credit via CSR support (?? < 32 GB) —https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/224964?page=2#comment-3289725

I use freedom+ for something stable+to offset cost of $martphone content.
