What is the best price anyone has found for this chair brand new or used in Sydney. 3 places I've been checking online Innerspace have it at $1369 with graphite frame. sit back and relax at $1449 and living edge $1485. The only other way i know to get it cheap is a store that sells used but this is dependent on if they get the stock in as they buy furniture from offices. I have seen people sell this chair used online but it doesn't look like it is the genuine chair. Is this because of the different frames available like graphite, aluminum. I want the chair with the graphite frame. Is it better to buy it new with warranty or as this chair is well made that even buying it used it will last a long time.

I'd recommend getting the chair used, you won't get the warranty but the build of the chair is amazing that it will last anyway and is easy to clean to make them look like new again. I bought a second hand one on ebay during the 15% off sale and ended up paying $380.
Can't find any decent priced ones in sydney atm but I'm sure you can manage with whatever you have in the mean time and just be patient and wait for one at a decent price to pop up on ebay (or gumtree). Follow a search on ebay ("herman miller aeron" > x km from postcode > sort by new listed) and set a notification on your ebay app and wait for a chair to pop up that's in your price range. While I was after a chair I found more were being listed in Sydney than Melbourne.
The chair I got is 7 years old and the mesh at the front is worn a bit but there is so much mesh that it doesn't affect the chair and the mesh is still tight and springy. It does creak a bit and the gas lift is a bit dodgy but I haven't changed the height of the chair since I got it.
Whether you get it new or used it's worth the money and has already helped my lower back so much. Although if you do want a new one then I'd recommend checking out the mirra 2, I reckon it was a better chair but can't find them second hand.
