Where would I be best to buy board games at an affordable price online or in Perth?
Tactics has a huge range, though quite expensive
Games World is very limited in their stock
Ozgameshop is probably the best place in terms of price and range
GamesParadise avoid at all cost
Is there other places besides eBay that someone can suggest?
Looking for:
Forbidden Desert (sold out in most stores)
Pandemic
Agricola
Catan
etc
What's their price matching policy like? Will they price match Amazon US for example?
Not sure if there's a Mind Games store in Perth, but there's a couple dotted around Melbourne. They have lots of copies of Forbidden Desert, and they do online too - http://www.mindgames.net.au/
There is no easy solution.
I bought Agricola when Amazon did a free shipping promotion. I bought Forbidden Island during and ebay 20% off toys sale and I bought Pandemic when a US re-shipper launched with a $20 off first shipment coupon. As you can see, none of these are strategies you can use regularly.
My best suggestion is to keep a wish list and be on the lookout for deals on OzB.
Actually, Amazon are the cheapest for certain games atm, e.g. Flashpoint is cheaper shipped from Amazon than ozgameshop, and also, we had just recently bought Nexus Ops at 50% off shipped! (from the US btw)
I would have suggested Milsims as I had no issues with them, but they are out of business. The point of bringing them up however is that Joe Dodgy's has bought their stock (and name I think?) so they are seeking to build them back them to a reputable, successful store again.
