It says they usually cost $89…

    • Big W got in before jv.

  • I would love one of these. Are they priced like this anywhere else?

  • +1

Anyone tried one of these? They're not made by microsoft, so I'd be curious about the quality etc…

    • +2

Yeah, no audio jack, various lighting modes which cycle in 2 regions of the controller (region 1: center part and region 2: the 2 sides/button/grip area).

Look up the amazon reviews, I find the d-pad quite stiff but suits my purpose of using it on a desktop

      • You don't happen to know the approximate length of the lead by any chance?

        Edit: supposedly 3 metre

        Irrelevant comment arguments, yes please.

Cool ok, if you want. Tazos were better than Pog.

@PainToad: coke tastes better in a holden with music from an android phone while wearing nikes.

And AFL is better than Batman

And ps4 is better than mcdonalds

You don't have a good supply of eneloops that swapping over 2 batteries is a bother to you?

  • Any in ACT?

    • None in Tuggeranong, already scoped it and can't even see an empty hanger for em

  • Do these plug into a USB port? I think the fact there are only three to begin with is poor. By the time i use TV tuner, Skylander portal and potentially this where would my external HDD go?

    • +1

Into a USB Hub, in exactly the same way that you would do for any other device that needed more USB ports.

Hint 1: The Xbone is USB 3.0, but slow devices like controller, keyboard, skylanders will work OK on a USB 2.0 Hub (costs like $1)

Hint 2: If you want to charge things or use a non-powered Hard Drive, you need a powered hub.

Hint 3. Google is your friend, a great way to learn things. Just type in the question, and search.

  • how well does this work on a PC for gaming anyone?

and does anyone know if this special is available in Big W stores nationwide?

  • +2

Thanks OP. Just picked up the last one at the Doncaster store in VIC.

How can they originally charge $89 for a wired third-party controller?

You can get official wireless ones direct from MS for $68

    • And $55.20 from target ebay at 20% off.

Seriously, spend the extra $35 and ignore this cheap aftermarket product. Unless you're giving it to a young kid that will destroy it, buying this is your loss.

  • Will the lights make me play betterer?

    • +1

Maybe, they will make you brighter after all.

  • JB has them for $79 so $20 seems reasonable (if you can find stock that is).

  • +1

Sold out at Cumberland Park. I just bought the last one.

    • -1

I pity you for finding them in stock.

  • Reckon I probably have enough lights coming from the monitor and other led mods I have around my monitor. But pretty cool deal for a basic controller.

  • +1

I think for $20 as a spare, it's not bad. The thumb-pads are smooth in their motion; the triggers & buttons are responsive; the lights can be turned off; the controller shape isn't as comfortable as the original controller; and there is no headset option. It's one of the better aftermarket controllers I've tried. I wouldn't use it as my primary but it's ok if you want it for when you have friends over & don't use it enough to justify the $$ on a proper second controller.

  • Picked one up at Big W Chullora Sydney. There was still one left yesterday afternoon.

  • There's like none North of Adelaide

  • I got the last one from Mount Hutton and the last one from Jesmond. There are none left at Charlestown.
I now have 4 controllers so I can play FIFA with my kids :-)
