    • I haven't. I'm in VIC and I have gotten (in rough order), $50 min message (resolved by getting 5 bottles) then can't do a C&C with alcohol message (resolved by saying deliver instead) then the dreaded temp out of stock message (can resolve that).

      • Oh I'm doing a c&c order in Melb and I was able to get it. Maybe chose a diff store?

        I actually had the opposite problem, delivery was only free over $100, but I had to accept an 8hr window such as 2pm-10pm or 6am-2pm. What do they think I'm on the dole?

    Is this only state specific, where they can sell alcohol within the supermarkets?

    • Yep..if you live in a state where the the pub chains bank roll the political parties to keep their asset values high (I'm look at you qld), by not allowing bottlos to be owned by anyone without a pub licence, let alone alcohol be aold by Aldi, you lose (not only by not getting this deal, but by higher alcohol prices in general)

    just received an email from Coles Online Customer Care that I have to cancel my order due to this popular item out of stock. Could be store specific, good luck to the rest. Bought 5 online and chose C&C, EFTPOS payment option.

    The Keepers Glove Tawny Port from Aldi at $4.95 is better than most Ports I have had, even those that are up around $30-$40.
    750ml Nolume at 16.5%.

    • Now now, it's not a patch on the Galway pipes (~$30). But better then the $10-15 Penfolds stuff, thus good bang for your buck.

      • The Galway isn't too bad. I was given some for Christmas. I wish I could afford more on my lucrative Newsstart allowance. ;-)

  • Just been to my local store and it scanned at $40 and they wouldn't match their online price. The lady also told me that they've had over 150 orders in and they never stocked that much and will refund them all.

  • Ok officially "Pricing Error" & "Out Of Stock". Even though it's still listed on their website - apparently it's IT's fault & they don't work today - even though they appeared to have gotten their broken website working over night ;-)

    I just chewed out head office after they cancel my order (only found out when we went to pick it up - 10mins before the email). Got there, only part of my order was filled and had to pay again….and to make matter worse, got home & items we were charged for are missing!

    They won't budge on "supply it when it's back in stock" but they have promised a $40 giftcard ($30 compo + $10 for missing items) to be posted out for their mistake. So I suppose thats a win. So get on the phone & whinge.

  • Mines got cancelled. Online help said there was a glitch on the website about the price and hence only a few were honoured (finding that hard to believe) and then the rest were cancelled as it was out of stock.
    Has anyone received their orders?

    By the way, imo this port is really nice and smooth and no bitter alcohol aftertaste.

    Better than the other De Bortoli 10 year I had.

    • There seems to have been two glitches; the price was wrong and the stock was not correctly calculated.

      Apparently my local store had accepted orders endlessly, but only had a few in stock, they honoured the first few orders and dropped the rest.

  • Ordered mine last night - got multiple confirmation emails saying ready to click and collect. Drove 20 mins to Coles and the girl said all orders for this have been cancelled due to a pricing error. Wouldnt give me my order (it had other stuff in there too). She just said to ring up and complain.

  • I ordered 12 bottles but only got 3, just picked them up. Pity. 12 bottles would've lasted me at least a year.

  • I had my order for 10 cancelled (apparently they were supposed to call me up but they didn't), checked in store, they were ticketed at $40 and there was none in stock.

    I also saw 3-4 other people pull into click & collect and get told their order was cancelled in the short time I hung around.

    I felt sorry for the person doing reception there. :(

    I got two emails 40 minutes after I attempted pick-up saying it had been cancelled, I was not charged.

        That's an interesting one. Since the cash back applies to placing a first order, we did our bit. Quite likely if we place another order in future they will not pay cash back then, based on that not being the first order.

        • Well you would certainly not get the $15 for this transaction if your order was cancelled and refunded.

          As for whether or not your subsequent order will be considered as the first one, I can't speak for CR, that's up to them. But their customer service is pretty good going by personal experience. So I'm guessing they might.

          @CVonC: Yeah but alas it's not up to CR, it's up to Coles whether they pay out. So I wouldn't count on it - they've gone all HN/DSE on our arses

    Ordered on saturday, got advised of delivery time. At home today specially for delivery. 4 minutes before website nominated delivery time I was standing outside while rubbish truck empties bin, see Coles truck at end of street waiting for rubbish truck to finish. Coles truck drives away. Coles website status 2 minutes later shows item delivered. Ring Coles, use front end menu to get to query deliver status. Auto voice says order cancelled during delivery, and hold if you wish to speak to operator. Operator tells me short of stock, so order cancelled. If I didn't need to be home because Coles were short of stock they should have advised order was cancelled well before estimated delivery time, and website should never have shown item delivered. Something not right here. Aldi is coming to town soon, and I am looking forward to the competition.

  • I ordered 3 and a few other items on Saturday, got an email from coles said only 2 available, was still happy to drive 15 minutes and picked them up.

  • Ordered 20 bottles, went through. Too good a deal, so ordered 20 more. Went through. Got email confirmation on both.
    1 day before delivery (tomorrow), they said out of stock and can only supply 2 bottles.

      The pricing error is the $40 rp. Quality wise this port should cost half that.

      $20 barely covers delivery so I'll wait for a special and c'n'c. Compared to Aldi Coles is grossly overprices on many items and don't get me started about the Colesworth fuel cartel which has artificially inflated prices for years in Canerra.

  • Very very poor effort Coles. Received my order this morning for 10 x bottles of Port and 4 x bottles of Unsweetened Almond Milk. Total deliver order was only 4 x bottles of SWEETENED ALMOND MILK and nothing else…..

    i rang up to complain. they said i have been compensated in the fact i get $20 off next shop.
    I insisted i am not compensated as i have to purchase $50 worth of stuff (coles online policy) stuff that i do not particularly want to get $20 off - i wanted the tawny at $10. for all i know you set that cheap price to hook me and now you are forcing me to buy other things.
    after a lot of tooing and frowing - at one stage i nearly started to laugh, she then accidentally said well i guess it not beneficial for you

    i was a pain, but im sorry that these guys keep doing pricing errors and not going through with it. yes i know t&cs..
    if i was to price something incorrectly and someone found out, im pretty sure i will be out of pocket in the end and wouldnt be able to change what was said previously.

  • I ordered 3 bottles Sunday morning at about 9am, added a few other items to reach $50, but in process noticed some items I buy regularly were 10% dearer on line - did not buy those!!

    Called in Monday afternoon at 4.40pm to collect, after waiting 10 min for someone to fetch my order I was told my order had been cancelled as the main component was listed at the wrong price. I had not be notified, however I was told an email had been sent - had not got home to read. Staff member admitted that a phone call would have been more appropriate. When I got home I had an email at 4.04 pm advising my order had been picked and packed and there had been some substitutions - ordered 3, supplied 0. WTF. Another email at 4.20pm advising order had been cancelled - I was traveling there after work to pick up at that time!!

    Got a survey email from them asking about my on line order experience of 9pm on 22 Feb, but my order was placed 9am 21 Feb. My order had been cancelled 5 hours earlier than the time they had for order. Pathetic. I said so in survey! Wont waste my time again with online shopping, an hour wasted!

    At least the staff member was honest with pricing error, not B.S. out of stock covering the fact they would not have supplied anyway!
