B2B? I thought Ozbargain was for end consumers only. I have to vote neg, no matter how good or bad the price is (I imagine it's probably not that good anyways)

@elcheapoinoz — OzBargain is for both consumers and merchants, and merchants are clearly marked so. That has always been in the case at OzBargain.

If you feel like to revoke your vote, please go to this page, and then click on this icon Revoke to remove your vote.

Edit: I am upvoting this offer to temporarily bring this back to listing. Not that I need any co-location offer at the moment…

      • I understand ozbargain is for reps as well, but as BlueFibre mentioned "Bringing the best deals to "consumers"

which seems to me like end users.

At the end of the day ozbargain can choose any path they want.

If they want to allow a ton of advertising from reps, pointing to a slightly less crummy price than the previous overpriced option.. thats fine with me, I'll just be looking somewhere else.

Now if you want to maintain a good user base, where people, end users, consumers the ones who keep getting bombarded by false deals and advertising on TV go as a refuge.
If you want to build a community for us, and a safe haven.
maybe you should reconsider your policies.

Seems to me like you're more a rep-hating troll than anything else based on your vote history.

          • @Livert: Nope, not at all.
I'd like to keep the site clean of advertising as much as possible.
and of course, who's making the advertising for so-so deals? reps.
we have the ability to vote up or down according to how good or bad we think the deal is.
            just exercising my right.

            • @elcheapoinoz: Then maybe try putting in a few more positive votes here and there to stuff that appeal to you rather than spreading so much negativity. Unless of course you really don't think there are any good deals here anymore, if so, you're probably in the wrong place.

              • -1

@Livert: I do. and most of the good ones, I just go and buy, no time for voting!
seriously, I love the idea of ozbargain, and it's a great resource.
I just don't want to see advertising here.
                just good clean deals.

I truly believe the admins should look into fixing their policies.
there's a lot of advertising lately.

                • @elcheapoinoz: Let users decide whether the deal is good or not. Shouldn't really be influenced by whether or not a rep posts the deal. Automatically negging rep-posted deals promotes sockpuppetting which IMO is worse.

        • Well. I am happy that you stick to your opinion and let us not turn this thread into flame wars. Let's focus on this post from BlueFibre rather than store rep vs. consumers.

    elcheapoinoz,

Thanks for your post and concern(s).

I've re-read the rules and regulations, whilst I agree that the About Us page states "bringing the best deals and bargains in Australia to consumers.", it isn't "limited" to consumers only.

This deal can be utilised by an individual (read: consumer) or business, I'm not sure where in my post or our website that we specifically say "businesses only".

    Regards,
    Matthew

sorry, I just don't imagine my grandmother installing a server in your datacenter.

    • -1

Well. Quite a few offers are for female only here should I -ve them because I'm male?

It doesn't make sense to -ve a deal just because you (or your grandmother) won't buy it.

      • No, it makes sense because it's a B2B offer, and not to end users.
That was just supposed to be a funny comment to put the point accross.

    Hello,

My point being was that the site (OzBargain) isn't specifically aimed at personal users. We've experienced in the past that there are quite a lot of business users on this site as well.

At the end of the day, the title explains enough that if the user was tech savvy enough and interested, they would click and view the deal. If not, they would simply ignore and move on.

    Regards,
    Matthew

  • Yawns… no clue what RU means love the thread fist action though.
