AFL Live Pass - Free for Telstra Customers (March)

Hey Guys,

I was having trouble with my AFL live pass subscription this week and put a request into Telstra to fix it, they gave me a call today to let me know they will just give me a voucher so I can still use it. Anyway the big news the Telstra guy said was it will be FREE for Telstra customers in March with an announcement coming soon. Yes this is second hand information but coming from a Telstra employee plus they do have the digital rights to AFL I do believe it will be true. So anyone thinking of buying a subscription for this season may want to hold off a couple of weeks.

In regards to the AFL live Pass it is very good for people without Foxtel you can play every game on your phone or tablet. The data is unmetered if you are with Telstra so if you are in a 4G area you are sweet. To get it on to your TV can be tricky as they have block mirroring/streaming methods. The way I have done it is through a HDMI lighting cable and works fine quality isn’t amazing but I was surprised how good it was.

    Most of us got a free code (to use this year) late last year anyway.
    But a good heads up for those who didn't.

      Was this via the Free AFL Live Pass Subscription? If so I don't recall seeing said code :(

          Damn, never saw that one, just went searching for the deal via Telstra and AFL deals but nothing jumps out, any chance you remember anything else about it, would love to try and sign up for it if its not expired ;)

          It got deleted at the request of Telstra.
          You had to send an SMS to a special number and got a code texted back to you for either a NRL or AFL Live Pass (different SMS numbers for each).
          It was supposed to be a targeted offer, but worked from any Telstra Service.

          It continued to work from any Telstra number (including Telstra Wholesale Numbers) for a few months but is now stopped.

      Yes, my mail was correct :) enjoy pm me if you want to know how to get the picture on to your tv as they have blocked some methods of streaming

    Not sure if this is the best thread - however might be worthwhile everyone cancelling their free AFL Live Pass they got through telstra today.

    Otherwise the weekyl debiting starts tomorrow!
