    That's great news.

I am not sure if I would buy memory that I don't need right now, but I did find a cool tool that helps you determine the exact memory upgrades that your computer can handle.

It is called the Crucial System Scanner, and is a free download that reports on your memory and options for upgrading with extra modules. Find it here: http://www.crucial.com/

    • Sorry but that Crucial System Scanner sucks. It just recommends their own ram..

  • DDR4 for skylake+ or zen, ddr3 for everything else, not really hard.

      what is skylake+ or zen?

oh and thanks for negging my comment, must have given u a warm and fuzzy feeling, glad I can be that for u man

  • Here's how you really work it out if it's a bargain or not.

Find it on Newegg. Add price plus postage to get total costs.

Find it again on Static Ice. Search for the lowest price. Add price plus postage to get total cost

    Compare.

MOST of the time, Newegg is more expensive due to their inflated postage costs (example: it costs $19.82 dollars to ship a kit of RAM. http://i.imgur.com/GS2ycGc.jpg)

That's totally not worth it for just a single kit, when you can just waltz into a local computer store and grab it off the shelf and pay a lower price overall. If you want to buy, buy loads of stuff and combine postage.

Fair point, but if youre only spending $30 on a single personally i wouldnt even bother looking at ozbargain or shipping costs overseas.

  • Before you check, there is no ECC ram listed in this deal :(
