Great deal for the best value Anxiety Bracelet on the market.

      lol

    • Best comment in here by a mile.

I imagine someone like a grown-up Butters from SouthPark, would had to have designed one of these.

        You're thinking of Tweek.

        • LOL, yep, you are right.

  • What does simple package mean?

They removed the product from original box?

    • Yes, see the screenshots, repackaged into smaller box.

      • But why is it $10 less for just changing the box? Any idea.

        • something to do with the box dimension as the postage is highly dominated by size other than weight.

        • Box is about the size of a large fist :(

        • @hymio: Yeah which is why I am so skeptical. Surely postage isn't $10 worth for a small change in size, especially from China.

        • @hymio:
          Don't even go there!

        • @GameChanger: It's quite a big change, I mean. The band and charger and info could all fit in a small padded envelope but with the box it's much larger and heavier. I'd personally get it in the simple packaging seeing as the box just sits in my drawer.

        • @kahn: It's fine as long as you're not putting that large fist box anywhere it shouldn't be!

  • how do these compare to fitbits? anyone had both?

    • +4

Had the original (non-HR) Mi Band which I lost when it got dislodged from the silicon wristband. I now have a fitbit charge HR which only comes off my wrist with some effort (i.e. it's on very securely). The new Mi Band would looks like it would still have the same problem of being easy to dislodge/lose. I also like having a minimalist display on the fitbit, so I can call up the time (and a few other stats) as required. I did miss having a watch when I wore just the Mi Band. It does win (no contest) for battery life though.

      • mite get it for the Mrs see how she goes. then if she likes it maybe upgrade to a fitbit.

      • that screen alone will cost a lot more but i'm with u. i'd like to just see the figures on the device other than on a separate phone. i got garmin vivofit which is a direct competitor to fitbit non-HR band. My garmin works smoothly despite it's app needs some facelift but i don't care, lol.

        • Yeah for me having a display for hr in particular made sense. Means I don't need to have phone handy/Bluetooth on to see an instantaneous reading, which you'd want for cardio/checking what zone you're in.

      • +3

Ease of dislodgement is one of the improvements in the 1s vs. original. Great for battery life and with the modified Android App had additional functionality too.
I also had the original version and lost it =( interested in trying this out

      • I own the 1s and wear it along with my Apple Watch. It is hard to get it off the band. So I think they've fixed the issue. It is also accurate comparing with the Apple Watch but way better battery life wise. Still got 52% after 9 days! It is with HR on for sleep stats accuracy and etc.

    • Having recently moved to a Fitbit and using a Mi Band, the obvious difference is Battery Life and App.
If Xiamoi did an App that matched Fitbit it would be so much better value for money but the current App is rather basic and barely gives you much feedback and the feedback it does is more just Line items.

Today wearing both Bands my Fitbit Flex says 2792 Mi Band - 3398 so after 8hours. 600 Step difference is a decent amount so i will have to see once i hit about 10,000 for the day how far spread they are.

      • Some band you need to specify if you are using on your left or right arm. That might be the difference

  • What's the delivery time frame with Tiny Deal? The usual 4-6 weeks?

    • Free Shipping

TinyDeal offer Free Shipping for all the products if the package's weight is under 2KG. Generally, the Free Shipping option is sent via Hong Kong Post Airmail or China post and delivery takes about 7-25 days to major destinations. Since all post offices that offer international airmail services do not guarantee delivery time for Airmail parcels, the delivery time is provided for reference only.

      Standard Shipping

If you need faster delivery time, the Standard Shipping option is available for your choice. Once you have chosen Standard shipping method, your order will automatically get shipped by courier service for delivery within 6 to 8 days.

so 7-25 + the initial week to post to begin with so 2-5 weeks by the looks of it

    • I got one on the last deal and it was about 3 weeks.

    • took about 3 weeks for it to move from China for me. Still waiting from last deal

  • Bought one for myself the last time we had a deal……took about a month to arrive. The support on website is pathetic, no response to my query.
Coming to the band, ergonomics are just about okay, the app is basic. If you can wait a month and dont want to spend a fortune, then order one.

Does the heart rate monitor actually work?
i've tried a few other products (not fitbit) and have little to no success

    • +1

doesn't ever give me HR values below 55bpm. my resting HR is 40-45bpm so it's pretty useless for that. it's as though it doesn't believe that my HR is that low so it just doubles it :\

at higher rates it seems better.

I bought one and had it delivered about 9 days ago. So far so good.

I've had no issue with it falling out, or even looking like it will fall out, so that problem may have been addressed in the new model. I keep it fairly tight to restrict movement.

The Mi app is ok but there is a good 3rd party app you can download called "Mi Band Tool" that costs a couple of dollars and is very good. The Mi app doesn't allow permanent heart rate tracking, you can only activate the heart rate reader on demand, however the 3rd party app can be set up to automatically take readings every few minutes if required and will graphically display it, working out min, max and averages across the day/week/month. It also has a bunch of other neat features.

Battery is good. In the 9 days i have had it, the battery has dropped to 43%. I did have vibration notifications on for phone calls and SMS but this will drain the battery faster, so i switched it off. In the first day it dropped 13% as i played about with the settings etc, and since then optimising the settings it has only dropped about 5.5% per day.

I set an alarm on it every morning and it wakes me up by vibrating, which is good as it prevents waking up the missus with a normal alarm.

Be aware that battery management apps on the phone can cause issues with the band if they disable Bluetooth, or close apps in the background, causing the band to unpair. I ended up deleting those apps as i couldn't quite work out the perfect setting and since deletion i haven't had a single problem at all.

Sleep tracking seems pretty good and the step tracking seems fine as well. With all fitness trackers the step tracking will not be perfect but i believe it is pretty good. I've seen some videos on youtube comparing the heart rate tracking accuracy and it seemed fairly close. When i'm walking fast or running it goes up, when i'm chilling it goes down, from experience i think it's pretty accurate, but i did read having the band nice and secure helps with accuracy as the sensor use a flashing light and sensor on the underside to measure heart rate.

Overall i think it's easily worth the $26.

    • Not sure if it's improved since the original but I actually found the sleep tracking pretty poor while I had the first version mi band. This was compared to the pebble classic + sleepas app, which I had used for a while and used as my baseline, and for comparison purposes I was wearing both the pebble and the mi band side by side on the same wrist. Accuracy of sleep and wake times were unpredictable, as were detection of awake/restless periods during sleep. YMMV.

  • Question is the band easily comes off like first gen? How's the heart rate monitor on this? Accurate or just a toy?

  • my last charge lasted 50 days with 3% to go.
if you have the band core on the inside, it's secure. never fall out until the band itself cracked.
I'm getting a stainless steel band soon for them.

I've got the non heartrate version, it recently recieved an update. - Note to all potential buyers at present this wont synch correctly with Iphone. Not just my problem, it seems endemic since last update. so if you have an i-phone be aware that you will be waiting x amount of time before the app is fixed, it also wont synch to the native apple health app - another known problem.

been using it on android. according to the results im a super athlete that requires 0 hours sleep a night, I might sprint 16kms in a day, I may not. In actual fact I havent sprinted 16 km's total in my life but the results are often amusing until you realise you wasted your money.

Of course this is manufactured by wat some people call "chinese apple" - just be prepared that you wont get any customer service be it from a human, robot or intelligent algorithm.

If you grab this make sure you get Mi Band Tools. Best of the third party apps.

Can do continuous heart rate monitoring and although you'll get the odd incorrect reading you can set a weighted average so it turns out pretty spot on. Syncs to google fit also.

Even with the heart rate tracking set at 2-5 minute intervals the battery still does amazingly well. 53% left charged 6 days ago. Wouldn't be surprised if the chinese had some alien battery tech in this.

I'm hoping they bring back the multi coloured LEDs. Super handy for notifications.

Step tracking isn't as good as fitbit. At the moment I've got the tracking disconnected from google fit - it overwrites good data with less good data. It seems to screw up Fit tracking my cycling atm.

here's what the heart rate tracking looks like - https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/VdgCeURrRll0toKP5omkNgcWm5…

Some people have figured out how to dump the raw data and there's a few scripts that can give you some nice graphs. The hardware in this thing is great IMO - just need software to catch up.

It's worth it just for the notications even. Can leave my phone on silent and have certains apps buzz me - plus can set rules on when you want it active or not per app.

    • thanks for the detailed review.

    • I too use the "Mi band Tools" (Android). The notifications configuration options are awesome.

Btw why not just buy from geekbuying for USD $18.99 = AU $ 26.8 or so , that would be factory sealed Xiaomi package with Genuine Xiaomi hologram and code that can be verified.

    http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Original-Xiaomi-Miband-1S-201…

    • +1

And with geekbuying you would be much more likely to get your item. Tinydeal is horribly unreliable. I finally got my refund after a paypal dispute from the last think I wanted to buy from them.

      • Not sure why Tinydeal with an unsealed and non-factory packing for a few cents cheaper is advertised as a deal ! There are far cheaper and better places to get from like Everbuying/Dealsmachine etc

        • its because the factory that makes them ships these out the back door and on a truck to places such as tinydeal or their supplier, thats why you get no boxes and stuff with lots of items like this when you buy from crap chinese stores

same as like micro SD cards where you dont get an adaptor or package, most likely came out the back door

    • So confused now. Can either of you recommend which to get?

  • I like xiaomi product but this one is very ugly. Sorry…

    • +1

xiaomi thinks you're ugly too, no need to be sorry

  • +1

I had the old one and the features for the price are amazing. The call reminder is great, steps tracking is awesome and battery life was 45+ days. Definitely recommend.

  • I got one from eBay today. From Tinydeal via a Sydney. It took 2 weeks to get here!!
I've set it all up on my ipad. It was really easy to setup with the app. It connected first time.
    It's very light weight.
The reason I got a Mi Band rather than a FitBit is the cost. If in a couple of months I get sick of it, it wont matter for $30

    • Do you have the link for Tinydeal eBay?

  • The heart rat Mi Band is all they have for sale now. Seller is good-day-up
    http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=3913864…

  • Thanks OP, currently selling at $26.28 no coupon. Cheers!

  • Can the device be pared to an apple product and an android product?
    Will the accounts synchronise?
I know you get more options with the Mi Band when it is pared with an android device

    • Yes and Yes.
