Nexus 7 won't boot past Google Screen..Help pls!

Hi all,

I was trying to unroot & flash stock image on my Nexus 7 2013 WIFI using Nexus tool kit. Came up with error as per pic in the link below & the cmd window will come up with window error message "fastboot.exe stopped working"

Now, my tablet won't boot past the Google screen(with lock icon). What should I do? Little freaked out here…Appreciate your help!

I know I should probably post on android forum, but always found OzB community to be very IT savvy and responsive ;)

  • Make sure your drivers are installed properly You need odin or a similar software for your device to flash the stock image back on and make sure its the correct image and the image isnt corrupt and follow instructions on xda. I suggest you post in xda forums and you will get excellent help there.

If you follow this tutorial you cant go wrong
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907796

Once restored to stock state and it gets stuck in bootloop, just hard reset the phone and it will boot up

  • Can't get back into the bootloader screen at all? (surely you needed to get there to start the flashing process?
Hold down Volume Up and press Power

  • +1

This is a terrible place to ask the question, a much better place is the Q&A section of the Nexus 7 forum at xda-developers.

  • All good guys, got it sorted! Thanks
