Transferring Qantas Frequent Flyer Points multiple times

Hi all,

I've accumulated a few qantas FF accounts for family due to trying to take advantage of various Woolworths deals in the past. The end result is I have 3 accounts, A with 7000 points, B with 2500, C with 3500 points and my own, D, with 100,000+.

As I understand it you're allowed one family transfer per 12 months per account? I assume this means transferring out, and not being transferred to

I'm wanting to get all the points from A, B and C to my D account.

Bearing in mind the 5,000 point minimum, does anyone know if it's possible to transfer A -> B then B-> C then C to D, meaning I can close off those old accounts and still get the benefit of the points?

Thanks very much

I remember reading exactly what you describe mentioned somewhere on the pointhacks website. If the balance is under 5000, simply bounce enough points there and back, or in a chain, such that each account ends up over 5000 before the transfer.

Afaik the transfer limit is 4 times per year

Oh brilliant thank you, I'll see how I go.

    • yup, just top up B and C with your points and login to their accounts and make a transfer of 5000 points to your account (D).
